The history of the disease in gynecology.

Infertility, habitual miscarriage, severe birth, congenital malformations - all these disorders in the normal reproductive function of women are caused primarily by obstetric and gynecological pathologies.

In the course of educational disciplines of young specialists (students of higher educational institutions of medical profile) along with various disciplines there are always practical and seminar classes on obstetrics and gynecology.

And, of course, do not forget that according to the results of the passed course students write a medical history of gynecology. It is important to know what the structure of this document is, what information it should contain, and how it is formalized.

What is the medical history?

It is a document in which all important aspects of the course of the disease should be recorded. At the very beginning, the information about the patient himself (sex, age, full name and various contact details) is indicated, then the main disease (the illness that caused hospitalization) is written, and the concomitant pathology is also indicated.

The next section - complaints of the patient (where all the violations of functions mentioned by the patient, pain localization, other sensations are introduced).

The medical history of gynecology necessarily includes a history of the patient's illness (which describes the phased appearance and manifestation of the disease, periods of treatment, etc.), as well as an anamnesis of his life. The latter includes a list of diseases, gynecological, allergic and epidemiological anamnesis.

The next stage is a general examination, which characterizes the general objective condition of the patient at the time of his examination. A detailed examination of the patient (his organs and systems) and his results are reflected in the sections of the corresponding systems.

All this information reflects the medical history of gynecology.

Myoma of the uterus is one of the most common gynecological pathologies. It is this disease that is registered in most cases when patients are hospitalized. Today, there is also an increase in the number of patients with other, negatively affecting the reproductive health of the female body, concomitant diseases. Various infections, inflammatory processes, as well as neoplasms.

It should be noted that among the inflammatory processes are more prevalent diseases with a hidden clinical picture of chronic (protracted) course. All this not only complicates the diagnosis of pathology, but increases the duration and reduces the effectiveness of the treatment. Along with this, antibiotic-resistant strains of microorganisms are increasingly the cause of such diseases.

The history of the disease in gynecology today allows you to systematize data obtained as a result of an objective (general) examination, as well as data of diagnostic manipulations and procedures.

The constructive use of these pathologies, as well as the competent and justified use of antibacterial drugs (taking into account the sensitivity of the etiological agent) helps to avoid the occurrence of incurable forms.

Today, the history of obstetrics and gynecology, as well as in any other discipline, is increasingly compiled with the use of modern computer programs that not only speed up the process of entering data on the disease, but also provide an operative and retrospective epidemiological analysis of the incidence without much difficulty.

Thus, the number of pathologies of reproductive organs is constantly increasing. Along with the emergence of new latent forms of diseases, the methods of diagnosis and treatment are being improved. In addition, there is an optimization of the system for recording medical records (a history of gynecology), as well as a gradual transfer of it "from paper to figure" (for example, a history of gynecology in the electronic version).
