The drug "Tagist" instructions for use refers to the pharmacotherapeutic group of histamine. The international nonproprietary name is Betagystin.

The active active substance of the drug is beta-histidine dihydrochloride. Additional components - microcrystalline cellulose, kollidon 25 (povidone), citric acid, potato starch, colloidal silicon dioxide (aerosil), magnesium stearate, talc.

The drug "Tagista" (instruction for use informs) is available in the form of tablets of flat-cylindrical form, having a white or white with a cream tint color.

The drug is quite actively adsorbed. It is characterized by a low connection with blood proteins. After three hours, the maximum concentration of the drug is reached. The considered pharmaceutical agent is excreted through the kidneys in the form of metabolite (almost completely) within 24 hours. The half-life is usually three to four hours.

The drug is indicated for use in the following cases:

- for the treatment and prevention of vertigo (vestibular) of one or another genesis;

- with such syndromes as headache, nausea, vomiting, progressive deterioration of hearing, tinnitus, headaches, dizziness.

It is not recommended to use this remedy in case of hypersensitivity to one or several components of the drug, and also if the patient's age is less than eighteen years (due to lack of necessary research data). Do not prescribe medication during pregnancy and lactation, because there is no information about its safety for this category of persons.

The drug "Tagista", the instruction for its use, describes in detail all the indications and contraindications to its administration, with special care is prescribed for peptic ulcer of stomach (and / or duodenal ulcer), pheochromocytoma and bronchial asthma. The specified category of persons throughout the course of treatment should be under the constant supervision of a specialist.

Medicinal product of Tagist. Instructions for use

For tablets of eight milligrams - 1-2 three times a day, sixteen - 0.5-1 with the same frequency, twenty four milligrams - one tablet twice a day.

As a rule, the improvement of the condition is observed already from the first days of treatment, and stable therapeutic effect occurs after two weeks from the start of the drug. The course of the drug is long, the timing is determined individually by the treating doctor.

Against the backdrop of taking Tagigista's medication (the instruction tells about it), it is possible to manifest such side effects as digestive system functioning disorders, allergic reactions (hives, rashes, itching), Quincke's edema rarely occurs.

An overdose of the drug is accompanied by cramps, vomiting, nausea. In addition to symptomatic treatment, gastric lavage and intake of adsorbent (activated charcoal) are shown.

No cases of interaction or incompatibility with other medicinal products have been recorded.

The period during which the preparation is usable is thirty-six months from the date indicated on the package.

Betahistine dihydrochloride (the main active ingredient) does not have a sedative effect, so it does not affect the ability to drive vehicles. Also during the period of treatment it is not forbidden to conduct activities requiring a rapid psychomotor response.

The optimum temperature for storing the drug is + 22-25 degrees Celsius.

Pharmaceutical "Tagist", a description of which was given above, can be purchased at pharmacies only if there is a doctor's prescription.
