Well, now about the dishes themselves. We offer you to cook liver pie and cake according to our recipes . For these dishes, you can take both beef and chicken liver, the principle of their cooking is practically no different.

To make a liver pie, clean it from the film beforehand and cut the product into small pieces. How much to take it depends on the desired output volume of the finished product. A gram from 500 to 800 will be enough. The liver is fried for 2-3 minutes in a frying pan, the isolated juice is drained (we will not need it). If desired, you can put it out a little, filling a glass of white wine.

From vegetables you will need: 2 large carrots, 2 potatoes, 2 onions, which are cut into cubes and fried in a frying pan until half cooked. Now all these ingredients are mixed with the liver, everything is salted, peppered, and left to soak with spices.

While the liver with vegetables marinated, we prepare salty short pastry for pie. Roll it, put it on the bottom of the mold (do not forget to grease it with vegetable or olive oil). On top of it, put the liver with vegetables, fill it all with egg, whipped with sour cream or mayonnaise (the mixture should be a little bit so that the cake does not get damp). Sprinkle with a little flour and send the liver pie to the oven, heated to 210 ° C, for 30 minutes. Serve it should be hot.

For those who want to surprise guests and submit an unusual snack to the table, it is advisable to prepare a liver cake.

To do this, grind 800 grams of chicken liver with a blender or meat grinder, add to it 3 eggs, a glass of flour, a little vegetable oil (like pancakes so they do not stick to the frying pan) and salt.

Get a batter, from which pancakes are baked. They will serve as the basis of hepatic cake.

Now that all the layers have been fried, the turn of the vegetable layer for the "cake" has come: grated carrots (200 g), onions (2 pcs.), Fried in a pan until golden and stewed in a small amount of milk.

That's all, it remains only to grease every pancake with mayonnaise, put a few vegetables on them and form a cake. We advise you not only to top the cake with mayonnaise, but also to decorate with greens. You can serve this appetizer either warm or cold. The only condition that must be fulfilled is that the cake should be allowed to infuse and soak with the smell of vegetables and mayonnaise so that it becomes soft and tender in taste.
