The first of these components is an extract of digestive pancreatic juices containing three pancreatic enzymes - amylase, lipase and protease. The task of amylase involves splitting starch, resulting in the formation of oligosaccharides. Lipase promotes the digestion of fats, and the protease cleaves proteins to amino acids or short peptides that are convenient for digestion by the body.

Thanks to the components of bile, emulsification of fats facilitates their digestion; Their absorption is activated, lipase activity is increased and fat-soluble vitamins are better absorbed . Finally, part of the drug "Festal" (indications for its use are well studied) hemicellulase is responsible for the digestion of plant fiber. This drug, thus, improves the state of the digestive tract, effectively eliminates discomfort in the stomach and intestines - for example, such phenomena as a feeling of heaviness and increased gas production.

Medication "Festal" can be prescribed for a number of diseases accompanied by digestive disorders: chronic pancreatitis, ulcerative colitis, cholecystitis, irritable bowel syndrome, as well as with various gastrointestinal disorders, including those caused by a sedentary lifestyle. After treatment with antibiotics, especially long, patients can also be recommended "Festal". Indications for the reception of this tool include preparation for X-ray and / or ultrasound examination of the abdominal organs. This enzyme preparation is often prescribed in the complex treatment of liver cirrhosis caused by its alcoholic or toxic damage.

The drug also has contraindications for taking, which must be remembered. So, he is categorically forbidden in acute pancreatitis or exacerbation of the chronic form of this disease.
