Biography

On the plot it is not clear how many years Leonard, but supposedly each of the characters at the beginning of the first season of about thirty. He himself comes from New Jersey, but lives and works in Pasadena, California Institute of Technology, where he studies applied physics. He received his doctor's degree at the age of 24. Unlike, for example, from the "nameless" mother Howard, viewers know the name of Leonard Hofstadter's mother. Her name is Beverly, and she appears several times in the series. His father was a talented anthropologist, and there are two other children in the family. Brother Michael achieved success in the legal field and works as a professor, and the elder sister conducts medical research. Not far away from the other family members and Leonard Hofstadter's mother, a well-known psychiatrist, also excelled in science.

Neighborhood

About how the main characters met, we learn from flashbacks in different seasons. At the beginning of the show Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter are already living together, and in the first series in the apartment opposite Penny is settled. Gradually Penny began to pour in, introducing color and variety, because she is the complete opposite of the male part of the series. Although there are constant quarrels between the characters, and their communication is accompanied by mutual sarcastic remarks, they are all firmly bound by unbreakable bonds of friendship. And for the most part, it is Leonard's credit.

Personality

As the name of Leonard Hofstadter's mother, you already know, however, in order to reveal the personality of the character, more information is needed about the woman who brought him up. Beverly, from her childhood, chose her son as an object for all sorts of psychiatric studies, which inevitably affected his development. The hero's reminiscences about the early years are not particularly pleasant, and the relationship with the mother, even with age, did not look like the generally accepted ones. One day, Mrs. Hofstedter comes to visit her son, and the audience will know that she is an exact female copy of Sheldon, and that explains a lot. Nevertheless, because of her stern education, Leonard became malleable and insecure. Although compared with his comrades, he is the most socially adapted. He is also interested in comics, video games, popular films and serials. Leonard has poor eyesight, so he wears glasses, and yet he has an individual lactose intolerance, which often leads to sad consequences. He can be called patient and persistent, as he is the best of all the others who can bear a painful communication with Sheldon and calmly reacts to all his ridiculous requests and remarks.

Relations

Leonard Hofstadter more than other characters succeeded on the love front. Of course, one of the main storylines is his affair with Penny's neighbor. Characters for a very long time went to the fact that to start a relationship, after which they soon parted. Then they again converged and again parted, but, finally, in the 9th season, the audience could see their marriage. In those periods when the heroes were not together, each of them met with others. For example, in the first season Leonard gets in touch with Leslie's colleague, but it does not last long. Later, he switches to a surgeon named Stephanie, with whom he even has a hint of a serious relationship, but they end soon. The next love, perhaps the brightest of all, is the sister of Raja Priya, but she went to India and betrayed Leonard's feelings. Despite all these girls, from the first series it becomes clear that the true fate of the hero is only Penny and no one else.

Johnny Galaki

Johnny Galaki embodied on screen such a vivid character, as Leonard Hofstedter. The actor before filming in the series was not particularly known to the public, filming for the most part on second plans and in small projects. But since 2007 the whole world has learned about it, and he immediately became an idol for the audience. Although not to say that after this proposal fell on him with unprecedented power, because every new season of "Theory" takes a lot of time from the performers of the main roles, so for other large-scale work it simply is not enough. However, Johnny Galaki, better known as Leonard Hofstadter, still boasts of occasional appearances in the paintings "Hancock" and "Time". In 2016, in addition to season 10 favorite series, with his participation is expected the film "Calls". And in the tape of Bobby Miller's "Master Cleanse," the release date of which is unknown, he will even appear in the title role.
