The best ways to get a natural color back after a workout

Strengthened training of the heart can give us a sense of cheerfulness. But there is one side effect that many will not like. This is the redness of the skin. So what exactly makes your face get such an unpleasant color?

"During exercise, your body and muscles generate energy that leads to the expansion of the blood vessels of your skin," says Jessica Weiser, MD of the New York Dermatology Group. "This allows heat to flow through the skin and maintain normal body temperature." Fortunately, reducing redness is easier than you expect. Try these dermatologically approved stunts to prevent and minimize inflammation without jeopardizing your athletic training.

Exercises in a cool room

Go for a run in the hot summer sun may seem like a good idea. But a higher air temperature will only worsen the position of your skin. Dr. Weiser suggests training in a cooler environment and drinking plenty of fluids to reduce facial flushing. So, pack a bottle of cold water and go to the gym, instead of spending your workout outdoors on hot days.

In addition to reducing muscle tension and increasing blood circulation, the time spent on gradually reducing the intensity of the workout also allows you to effectively cool the body temperature and, in turn, reduce redundancy. "Pass the time to gradually reduce the heart rate at the end of the workout," says Dr. Veyser. "As soon as your body returns to its normal heart rate, the heat energy will dissipate, causing the blood vessels to narrow again."

Application of a dairy compress

Like the advantages of placing a cool compress on your forehead if you have a febrile condition, applying a milk compress to your reddened face after training will help alleviate the feeling of heat in the skin. "The cold temperature, pH level and proteins in the milk compress have a thermal impact on the skin, which reduces redness," says Shereen Idriss, a researcher at Veksler Dermatology. Soak the loofah in cool milk and put it on your face to get rid of excess heat in the body and optimize the condition of dilated blood vessels. The face redness will disappear.

Consumption of certain products

If you are in a quandary and you need to quickly reduce the inflamed face, buy several products that help calm your skin. First, wash your face with a cooling cleanser. For example, you can use Avene Antirougeurs Redness Relief Dermo-Cleansing Milk. Dr. Weiser then recommends that you cover the skin with a lotion containing the contracting ingredient Xanthine contained in La Roche Posay Rosaliac Visible Redness Neutralizing Moisturizer. He will speed up the relief.

If you have some more free time, it is recommended to apply a soothing mask. The best fit Boscia Cool Blue Calming Mask. It should be kept on the face for twenty minutes after a high intensity workout. The mask contains an ingredient called seaweed. They have a powerful anti-inflammatory effect, refresh and soothe any visible irritation, smooth out complexion.

Implementation of short breaks

If you need to return to work after training, then try to include short breaks in your training session. "Exercising with low intensity and a short break between them will reduce the heart rate, which will help get rid of redness before the process gets out of control," says Dr. Veyser.
