System requirements Overwatch minimum on PC
The industry of computer games amazes with its diversity. But, despite a great choice for gamers, tens and even hundreds of new projects appear every year. Some of them are immediately forgotten, not satisfying the wishes of gamers, others remain in their hearts for life, some become popular and gain their army of fans long before their release. That's a new project from the company Blizzard can boast of its success. Beautiful graphics, fascinating gameplay or system requirements Overwatch has subordinated the game a lot of gamers.
A little about the game
Overwatch - multiplayer game in the genre of shooter with a first-person view. For the first time the project was presented in November 2014 at an exhibition organized by the company itself - the manufacturer - Blizzard Entertainment. And, as mentioned earlier, it already has a large army of fans, despite the fact that it is still at the development stage.
The project promises to give gamers a huge number of unique characters, each of which has its own unique skills, abilities and character. And this is now the main thing for the players. So even the high system requirements of Overwatch will not make fans and ordinary users refuse to play it.
Game Types
As shown by the closed beta test, the project has 5 basic types of games, but their number can always increase:
- Quick game - network match with characters of one level of development.
- Against AI - hone skills in the fight against artificial intelligence.
- Competition mode - rating competitions between different characters.
- Its game is a closed game that allows you to collect a group of friends or to compete with bots alone.
There is also a special regime, which is only available once in seven days - a weekly scuffle, which is a match with special conditions. To ensure the stable operation of the game rooms in 2015, Blizzard and launched the PTA. Since then, the first system requirements of Overwatch have become known.
What did the beta test say?
As explained by representatives of Blizzard Entertainment, they themselves send invitations to closed testing for one reason only - to get an objective assessment of a narrow circle of players. Thus, it will be possible to obtain truthful assessments and valuable advice.
However, since November 2015, so-called stress testing is being conducted - the opening of game servers for a larger number of players in order to check the stability of the network component of the project. For the first time such a test was held in November 2015 at the next exhibition organized by the company.
- Processor Intel Core i3, AMD Phenom X3 865 or better (preferably with a clock speed of not less than 2.8 GHz);
- A video card with 768 MB or better from manufacturers NVIDIA, Radeon or Intel HD Graphics ;
- The required amount of RAM is within 4 GB, and free space on the local disk will need no more than 5 GB.
But do not forget that now the Overwatch system requirements are minimal, and much can change until the moment of its release.
Mechanics of the game
Many products of the gaming industry have been immortalized in history thanks to their fascinating gameplay. Obviously, Blizzard does not try to win sympathy with only unique characters - the main accent they make on the game mechanics.
- Accompanying. A team game in which one side is trying to escort a cargo to its destination, when the other is doing its best to capture it.
- Capturing points. The standard scheme of team confrontation in multi-user computer games - one team must keep under its control points for a certain period, and their opponents must capture them.
- Object monitoring. Players are divided into two groups, each of which is tasked with capturing a certain zone before a contingent of rivals. Winners are those who will start to control two key points.
And this is only the initial modes that will be available at the time of the release of Overwatch. System requirements on the PC say that the game has not yet fully revealed its potential, and in the future we expect a lot of innovations.
Maybe it's Team Fortress?
Many players who were lucky enough to become a member of the PTA, note that the game is surprisingly similar to Team Fortress 2 - a multiplayer shooter from the company Valve. In addition to the common features, in the mechanics of the game there are similarities between the characters themselves.
Overwatch, the system requirements of which differ from all modern games, has little chance to disappoint the public. However, if in the end a project that closely resembles the project from Valve is presented, the result may be deplorable. But he will not stop real fans.
Popularity is growing
The popularity of the game can be confirmed by a relatively recent beta test. According to its results over the weekend in November, it was feigned hours in the total amount for 129 years, which simply speaks of the colossal number of players. However, the company does not disclose the activity of users.
Premature success decided to pick up the manufacturer of the connected devices to the computer Razer. As reported, there is a close contact between the manufacturer of computer accessories and Blizzard. So, soon after the release on the shelves, you should expect to see keyboards, mice and other devices with unique game symbols.
