Before us, "Master and Margarita." The brief content of the chapters of the novel will help the reader to quickly understand whether the work is interesting to him. Mikhail Bulgakov finished work on it by 1937, but the first magazine publication took place only after 25 years. The second - at the same time of year, but in Yershalaim for two thousand years before the first. The heads of the new Moscow history are interspersed with the heads of the ancient Yershalaim.

Summary "Master and Margarita", part one, chapters 1-12

On a hot May day, Patriarchal Ponds meet a mysterious foreigner Woland and his companions with the editor of the literary magazine Mikhail Berlioz and the young poet Ivan Nikolaevich Bezdomny, the author of an atheistic poem. A foreigner pretends to be a master of black magic. His entourage includes assistant Koroviev, called Fagot, Azazello, responsible for "power" operations, a pretty assistant and part-time witch-vampire Gella and funny buffoon Behemoth, often appearing in the form of a black cat of impressive size.

The foreigner wedged himself into the discussion of Berlioz and the Homeless about Jesus, claiming that he existed in reality. Proof of the fact that not everything is subject to man, was Woland's prediction of Berlioz's sad death at the hands of the Komsomol. Immediately Ivan becomes a witness of how a tram operated by a girl-Komsomol member beheaded the editor-in-chief.

The pursuit and desire to stop the ghostly gang of Woland led Homeless to a clinic for the mentally ill. Here he meets the Master, a sick man from the hundred and eighteenth number, and listens not only to the story of his love for Margarita, but also to the story of Yeshua Ha-Nozri. In particular, the Master reveals to Ivan the true otherworldly essence of Woland - the king of darkness.

The foreigner with the assistants occupied Berlioz's apartment, sending his neighbor Stepu Likhodeyev to Yalta. The scene at the Variety Theater becomes an exhibition of the hellish company. Muscovites are offered various temptations: rain from money, outfits and perfumes. After the presentation, the tempted bitterly regret this, being in the street naked and without money.

The master tells Ivan that he is a historian, a former employee of the museum. Having won once a large sum of money, he resigned and began to write a long-conceived book about the times of Pontius Pilate.

At the same time he meets Marguerite, between them there is love. After the publication of the excerpt from the book, the Master begins troubles, provoked by critics of the Moscow literary association and denunciation. In a fit of despair, he burns the manuscript. All this leads him to a psychiatric clinic.

Once at the feet of the dying philosopher there remains one of his successors Matvey Levi and the executioner stops suffering with the merciful blow of the spear in the heart, then everyone is covered by an incredible downpour. Pontius Pilate can not find rest. He calls a helper and orders the execution of the one who betrayed Yeshua.
