Pavel Kornev: bibliography and feedback from readers

Pavel Kornev is a modern science fiction writer who recently received recognition in the literature. He became widely known thanks to the cycle of novels "Borderlands", today numbering nine books. About this remarkable author and his work, we'll talk in this article.

Pavel Kornev: Biography

Pavel was born in 1978 in Chelyabinsk. In the same place he graduated from the school and entered the Chelyabinsk State University (Chelyabinsk State University) at the Faculty of Economics. After graduation I got a job in Sberbank, specialty, where I served for ten years. Only in 2003 I concentrated all my energies on creativity, began to participate in competitions. However, the first attempts were unsuccessful.

The first award, "The Sword Without a Name", Pavel Kornev (photo of the writer presented above) was awarded only in September 2006. The novel "Ice", which opens the cycle of works "Borderland", has brought success. The second award found the hero as early as 2013. For outstanding achievements in adventure adventure fiction Kornev received a prize for them. Athanasius Nikitin.

Writer among his hobbies especially notes computer games in the genre of RPG and TBS. According to the author himself, they attract him with fantastic stories and a fabulous atmosphere. It is not surprising that Kornev likes the works of other science fiction writers. Such, for example, as J. Martin, S. Green, R. Zelyazny, A. Pekhov, A. Bushkov, V. Panov and some others.

At the moment, Pavel Kornev, the bibliography of which is presented below, gives all his free time to writing new novels.

The series "Borderlands"

The borderland is a space where sometimes pieces of our world fall down together with buildings and people. This place is on the border between human reality and an alien universe. In the Borderlands, cold is almost always reigning, and outside the few cities and settlements it is easy to find a werewolf, who revived a dead man and other evil spirits. Even just to stay alive in this hostile place is not a task for weaklings.

It was here that Pavel Kornev decided to abandon his hero Alexander Lednev, better known to others as Ice or Slippery. About the adventures of this outstanding character in all respects and the first four books of the series are narrated: "Ice", "Slippery", "Black dreams", "Black Noon".

Works (especially the first part of the series) gained unprecedented popularity among readers. Even those who do not like the genre of fantasy, were able to appreciate the talent and imagination of the author. In addition, it was this cycle that brought the writer notoriety and the first award (the award "Sword Without a Name" from the publishing house "Alpha-book").

History of Evgeniy Apostol

This dialogue was included by Pavel Kornev in the series "Frontier", despite the fact that now the author's focus is on another character - Evgeniy Apostol. This is no longer Sasha Led, who is accustomed to everything by brute force. Evgeny is a clairvoyant, and his gift largely causes all the troubles of the hero.

The dilogy includes: "Ice citadel" and "Where there is heat". Both books were surprisingly well received not only by Kornev's fans, but also by pioneers in the genre of combat fantasy.

On the Return of Ice

In the seventh book, Pavel Kornev decided to return his hero. In the arena again, Sasha Lednev, who now has to solve the problem is much more important than saving his own life. The space of the borderland begins to intrude into reality. There are stable transitions between worlds, which immediately decide to use unknown, but very enterprising individuals.

The book "Ice. Cleaner "was not so unambiguously evaluated by the fans. Many have found that some descriptions are too tight, and our world is not like ourselves. As for the plot and characters of the characters, here the author remained true to himself.

Hops and Klondike

This part of the series was written by Pavel Kornev together with Andrey Kruz. Now the main characters were two: Nikolai Gordeev and Vyacheslav Khmelev. Their adventures are connected with the difficult life of Fort - one of the largest cities of the Borderland.

To date, two books have appeared: "Hops and Klondike" and "Cold, beer, shotgun". The following is being prepared for publication: "Witches, map, shotgun".

Co-authorship, according to many fans, did not go to the writers for good. There is a strong transformation of the world of the Borderlands down to unrecognizability, the undeveloped character and the absence of the former atmosphere.

Series "Exorcist"

The world of this series is reminiscent of the Middle Ages, in which the danger that your soul will be possessed by a demon is not at all illusory. Therefore, the profession of the exorcist here is a fairly common and useful craft. So it was until the moment when a man appeared capable of commanding demons. Allies and followers quickly found this heretic. And what remains to simple exorcists, for example, such as Sebastian March? This character becomes the main character of the books: "Damned Metal", "Reaper", "Mor" and "Defiler".

This cycle had a lot more negative reviews than all previous books of the writer. Many did not like the world, others found too much similarity between Ice and Sebastian Mart. However, there were those who liked this work.

Series "City of Autumn"

Pavel Kornev began work on this cycle in 2013. To date, it is considered complete and includes two books: "Divisional Commissioner" and "Without anger and addiction."

The events of this series are unfolding in a world divided into parts, which are connected only by railway tracks. Time has frozen here, and the alchemical plants are transformed into energy called Eternity. This world is filled with strange essences, capable of driving one's mind crazy. It is here that the main hero of the novel lives - the special police commissioner Victor Grai. It fell to him to watch the order in this strange world.

This series liked readers much more than the previous one. The world and the characters turned out to be attractive, and the writer's appeal to the science fiction genre was unusual and interesting.

In addition to the books described above, Peru Korneyv belongs to the series "All-Wonderful Electricity", which includes novels: "Luminous" and "Heartless". At the moment the cycle is unfinished.
