Student Visa to New Zealand

Absolutely any citizen who wishes to take any training course in New Zealand for a period of three months or more must first contact the Labor Department and obtain a New Zealand student visa if he resides outside the territory of the state.

If the duration of your training course is less than three months in duration, then in this case it is not necessary to obtain a student visa, but it is permissible to come to the country on a standard tourist visa and take a course of study.

Student visa to the new Zealand is issued for a period, depending on the rules that are in effect in the embassy in your country. On average, it takes about one to two months. The package of documents itself should be collected three to four months before the proposed entry into the country.

Required documents for obtaining a visa:

1. Letter from the educational institution on the enrollment and provision of housing for the period of study, (these documents are sent after payment of training);

2.1 A copy of your work record book;

2.2 Certificate from the educational institution (if you study);

3. Help from the bank about the availability of your cash account, that you have the necessary amount of money in this account. If the training is paid, you must provide a payment document;
4 Booked air tickets with a mandatory timetable;
5. A foreign passport, which must end three months longer than the period you are traveling to;
6. You need to fill out a questionnaire, only in English (the questionnaire can be taken at the New Zealand Consulate);
7. Medical certificate for tuberculosis if you are going to study for more than six months;
8. Copies of some documents confirming the existence of your fixed assets:
- apartments *
- cars*
9. Copies of official documents that show your civil status:
- a copy of your marriage / divorce certificate *
- a copy of the child's birth certificate *
10. 2 photos in size 3x4 cm (black and white or color), signed on the other side in English;
11. Consular fee for obtaining a visa;

Documents that are marked with a star are needed to prove that you do not have the intention to stay in New Zealand, and you are financially secure for the required period. This gives you a better chance of getting an interview with a positive result.

After the documents are in the consular section of the embassy, you need to contact the immigration officer by phone, for an interview.
If you do not understand any nuances, they can be clarified from the visa officer at the consulate or by phone.
