A small truck GAZelle has become a true legend of the domestic car industry, despite a relatively small age. It was the first successful low-tonnage machine, which deserved universal recognition in many CIS countries, where it is still actively used to this day. Any spring is prone to collapse (bend under the pressure of gravity). The machine starts to sag while its load capacity is significantly reduced. Therefore, the springs on the GAZelle need to be replaced. But our drivers have found another way out - to produce a rolling spring. At the same time it renews all its operational properties, and it can be further "spoiled." There are, of course, cases where the metal simply bursts under pressure (most often due to a large overload). And without buying new parts can not do, because GAZel on some shock absorbers to go, and even more so to transport cargo, can not. And in order to often not roll and change it, there is an opportunity to strengthen the springs. GAZelle allows such reinforcement exclusively on the rear axle, thanks to the addition of additional sheets.

But do not get too involved - everything should be in moderation. After all, if you add 10 sheets to the bridge, the load capacity of GAZelle will not increase from this. The load on the engine, the gearbox and the actual frame, which likes to burst with overloads of 2.5-3 tons, will increase. When transporting excessive gravity, it is especially not worthwhile to run into pits and irregularities, as this can lead to unforeseen consequences. 1500 kilograms - this is the norm that GAZelle must transport. Springs on GAZelle are very sensitive to pits, since both the front and rear parts of each are interconnected. For economy it is possible to put the worn out rear springs on a forward axis, and on their place to buy new.

If you strengthen the springs on GAZelle, then its load capacity will increase to two tons. Adding each pair of sheets increases the carrying capacity by 200 kilograms. Most often reinforce the springs on the long versions of GAZelle (body length from 4 and more meters). This tuning increases the reliability and lifetime of the chassis of the car at full load. On four-meter machines set up to three additional sheets, which in the total amount is 8 pieces. If desired, it is also possible to install sheets on the front axle, but it does not play a significant role, but only gives the machine rigidity. In general, the reinforcement of the springs on GAZelle affords it greater stability and maneuverability when driving.

Many drivers with the reinforcement of the springs forget that the maximum load capacity of GAZelle is, as stated above, not more than 1500 kilograms (and this is with the tilted body). If every day it is loaded into 2-3 tons, it will soon be necessary to replace the rear axle and even a major engine repair, which, by the way, is also designed for 1.5 tons.
