Spartak metro station will open in 2014

Soon a new metro station - "Spartak" - will appear in the capital. Originally, the opening was planned for the end of 2013, but due to the fact that the construction of the stadium of the same name is not yet finished, the opening of these objects was decided to be combined. The station will be on the "Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya" line, and the neighboring stations for it will be "Tushinskaya" and "Shchukinskaya".

The object is named after a famous football team, and the stadium next to it will have the same name. In 2018, at the stadium under construction, the main events of the World Cup will be held. Initially, there were other variants of the name of this station - Aeropole and Volokolamskaya, since the metro Spartak is being built on the Volokolamsk highway near the Tushino airfield.

Construction of the station began in 1975, but as the Moscow authorities decided not to build a microdistrict on the territory of the Tushinsky aeropole, the need for a metro station disappeared, and its frame was filled up. The lobby was not yet built. Construction work resumed in 2012, after the construction of the stadium at Tushino airfield. According to the latest information, the metro station "Spartak" will open together with the stadium, so people have the opportunity to attend football matches.

The metro station "Spartak" will have ground and underground vestibules, and will also be equipped with ramps and elevators for people with disabilities. It is not deep underground. The architecture and design of the halls will be executed in accordance with the decoration of two neighboring stations. The planned passenger traffic is 70 thousand people a day. The station's convoy will support 52 columns, arranged in 2 rows. The distance between the columns will be 6 meters.

Around the interior decoration of the station a lot of disputes arose. Initially, her design should have to do with the sports club of the same name. But it caused a rather stormy reaction, and it was decided to execute the design of the station in accordance with the elements of Roman culture, in honor of the famous gladiator. On the football theme will still resemble individual design elements and the color solution of the object.

After the opening of the metro station "Spartak" will serve the workers and guests of the sports complex, and also help unload the neighboring station "Tushinskaya". Next to the object of the authorities of the capital plan to build a transport and transfer junction, a hotel complex, as well as office and residential buildings.

As the population of Moscow is constantly growing, the construction of new metro stations is being carried out in an accelerated mode. In addition to Spartak, by the end of 2014 Moscow metro stations Butyrskaya, Okruzhnaya, Fonvizinskaya, Upper Likhobory, Seligerskaya, Bitsovskiy Park, Lesoparkovaya, Kotelniki, Zhulebino, , "Lermontovsky Prospekt", as well as the transfer station "Petrovsko-Razumovskaya".

This will unite the remote areas of Moscow with the center and allow people to quickly get to the right place. And the station "Spartak" and the eponymous stadium promise to become new Moscow sights, thanks to the upcoming World Cup, which will be held in Moscow in 2018.
