"Sinekod" for children and adults: rapid relief of unpleasant symptoms

"Sinekod" is a non-narcotic antitussive drug of direct action. As is known, for many years in the practice of treating colds or allergic diseases, alkaloids of opium were used to eliminate such symptoms. Their use often led to serious complications, so over time, these drugs were abandoned. Unlike them, "Sinekod", produced by one of the divisions of the Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis, practically has no side effects. "Sinekod" for children can be recommended for admission from 2 months of age.

The main active substance of this drug is butamyrate, contained in it in the form of butyrate citrate. It effectively blocks the activity of the cough center. This is the only method of eliminating dry or, as it is called, non-productive cough, which gives a 100% effect. As is known, in many cases dry cough is difficult enough to grow into a damp, and sometimes - for example, with severe allergies, whooping cough, to achieve this is almost impossible. Doctors have only one way: the use of drugs that inhibit the activity of cells in the center of cough in the brain, since conventional antitussive drugs that promote liquefaction and excretion of sputum, in this situation will be powerless.

Used in the treatment of dry cough "Sinekod" for children or adults is available in two dosage forms, in the form of syrup and drops. The first of them is successfully used in pediatric practice - both for the treatment of children aged 1-3 years, and patients who are breast-fed over 2 months. "Sinecode" in syrup is recommended for admission to children older than 3 years and adults.

The effect of using the "Sinekod" preparation for children or adults is quite long and well pronounced. It comes shortly after taking the drug and reaches a maximum in an hour. Children for up to one year are prescribed "Sinekod" in the amount of 10 drops per reception, from 15 to 15 years, 15 years older than 25. "It should be taken four times a day. Receiving the syrup "Sinekod" for children and adults is recommended in the following doses: 3-6 years - 5 ml, 6-12 years - 10 ml, adolescents and adults - 15 ml at one time. Children take the medicine three times a day, adults - four times. Drink it should be before eating.

The "Sinekod" preparation, drops for children or syrup for children and adults, in some cases can cause allergic reactions in the form of rash and / or skin itching. The consequence of his individual intolerance can also become nausea and diarrhea. When an overdose of the drug occurs dizziness, drowsiness, falls in blood pressure. If any of these symptoms occur, treatment should be discontinued and you should seek medical advice - especially if it's a small child. Overdose of "Sinekoda" is treated with sorbents and laxative preparations. In severe cases, drugs that support the activity of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems can be prescribed.

The drug "Sinekod", the use of which in most cases does not create any problems, should be cautiously prescribed to pregnant women - only in the II-III semesters and only with appropriate indications. This is due to the fact that the effect of this drug on the fetus has not yet been fully understood. It is extremely undesirable to prescribe it and breastfeeding mothers, as it is not known exactly whether the butamir enters breast milk.

The antitussive remedy "Sinekod" can safely be taken by patients suffering from diabetes: it contains only sugar substitutes - saccharin and sorbitol. Negative effects on the body caused by the interaction of "Sinekoda" with other drugs, are not known to date.
