It is extremely undesirable to prescribe it and breastfeeding mothers, as it is not known exactly whether the butamir enters breast milk.

The antitussive remedy "Sinekod" can safely be taken by patients suffering from diabetes: it contains only sugar substitutes - saccharin and sorbitol. Negative effects on the body caused by the interaction of "Sinekoda" with other drugs, are not known to date.
