Self-education plan: teacher's personal strategy

The importance of development for a teacher

With the end of his own educational process at the university and the beginning of work, the development of the teacher should in no case be interrupted. Time does not stand still, technology changes, modern children and adolescents change, the curriculum changes every year. Together with all this, the teacher himself is obliged to keep up. Usually for the competent development of professional skills, an annual self-study plan is used. After all, besides that it is just necessary to keep up with time, so without development it is simply impossible to raise one's own qualification and move up the career ladder. The self-education plan is the order of systematized tasks aimed at deepening the available professional knowledge of the teacher, the psychological skills of communicating with pupils, and the all-round development of the personality.

Self-education plan: forms, stages and features

Actually, the teacher's self-education plan (as a document) should include the name of the topic that he is going to develop, the name of the senior supervising collegue supervising the work process, as well as activities and activities aimed at developing the topic and improving the qualification, evenly distributed throughout the training of the year. In form, such activities are usually divided into three categories. These are refresher courses, where employees are usually sent every five years. The self-study plan also includes the study of special literature, analysis of relationships in the collectives of pupils, the development of curricula and innovative techniques to improve the effectiveness of the educational process, writing creative works and scientific reports throughout the year. The third form of self-education is the participation of teachers in various conferences, methodical activities of the educational institution, periodic presentation of reports to colleagues, as well as visits to various activities for comprehensive development.

Aims and objectives of the teacher

Of course, any plan for such work should contain goals and objectives. The self-education plan of the educator, whose work is related to the groups of youngest children, has its own characteristics that should be taken into account. The main feature of the self-education plan for this category of educators is an in-depth study of child psychology and methods of early development, as well as increased attention to health and life safety (instead of the disciplinary knowledge of secondary school teachers).

Additional qualities needed by a teacher

A characteristic feature of the work on self-education of teachers is the need to adhere strictly to the plan and strict discipline. Therefore, it will be very useful to include in the self-study plan the development of such necessary skills as competent time planning, self-motivation, studying computer technologies, developing reflection (that is, critical thinking of personal knowledge, skills and acquiring flexibility in one's own activity).
