The bumper is now painted in color even on budget versions. Also in front appeared wide plastic moldings. Thanks to facelift, the car has become much more modern. Even now, "Hyundai Athos" looks very cheerful (at least, not older than Matiz).

Dimensions of car, clearance

The car has a fairly compact size. So, the length of the body is 3.45 meters, width - 1.48 meters, height - 1.58 meters. In this case, the car has a good ground clearance. On standard, 14-inch disks, it is 16 centimeters. Thanks to the short wheelbase, the machine easily manages steep climbs and descents both on asphalt and on the ground surface.

Inside everything is quite simple and cheap. The interior is dominated by hard plastic and a solid steering wheel without buttons. The instrument panel, though it has a flat overhang, but putting a drink on it is quite difficult. A glove box is not present - there is only a niche with a shelf for small things. In the cabin very closely, not to mention the back row. By the way, the latter has the function of transformation. Perhaps, this is the only advantage of this salon. In terms of comfort the car is not designed for long trips - only in the city.

On the first versions of Hyundai Atos was installed 12-valve, three-cylinder engine from the I4 line. With a volume of 996 cubic centimeters, he developed 53 horsepower of power.

Since 2003, the line has a more powerful power unit. It was already a 4-cylinder engine with three valves per cylinder and a distributed fuel injection. The working volume of the combustion chamber of this engine is 1086 cubic centimeters. The maximum power at five thousand revolutions is 59 horsepower.
