Resources of the enterprise. Characteristics of major groups

The resources of the enterprise are the means that are available and ensure the implementation of its activities. They are used to achieve their goals and implement strategic objectives.

Scientists have developed several classifications. According to the most common of them, the enterprise's resources are divided into several large categories:

• Material-material,
• Information,
• Organizational,
• Human.

Let's consider the data of the group in more detail.

Material-material resources of the enterprise are such sources that are necessary to solve economic problems. In this case, their quantitative and qualitative characteristics will be the main ones. And it should be borne in mind that the resources of the enterprise in the composition of nature, capital and labor are defined as primary, which are independent of each other.

The problem is that they are rather limited. That is why an entrepreneur needs to constantly develop his business, increasing the volume and composition of products. This requires mandatory attraction of additional material resources. The main ones are the following:

• Natural (natural), which find expression in the form of land and water, air basin, minerals, flora and fauna, forests.
• Economic resources of the enterprise belonging to this entity, which are represented in monetary terms (domestic and foreign currency). They are classified not only in the direction of investment, but also in the sources of their formation. The most important internal reserves of financial resources are depreciation and profit.
• Capital means - a real form of immovable property, and also equated to such property (technology, technology).
• The material resources of the enterprise include items of production, basic and additional materials, raw materials, fuel, semi-finished products, unfinished construction, spare parts, production waste, packaging, etc.

The next group is scientific and information means , which are expressed in the presence of the head, his assistants and employees of information about humanity, the market situation, the state of the economy, legislation and so on.

The second content of this group is a set of data that is correctly organized in order to obtain reliable information. They include both separate documents and a system of documents in the available departments: archives, libraries, data banks, funds, and so on.

Human resources of the enterprise have a personal character. In this perspective, the most important are their following groups.

First, labor resources. This refers to a workable part of the population that has intellectual and physical opportunities for professional activities and produces material goods (provides services). This group characterizes the population that is capable of labor.

Secondly, the personality characteristics of the entrepreneur, which reflect his capabilities on the basis of experience and knowledge.

The fourth group, the organizational resources of the enterprise, includes the ability to mobilize the internal capabilities of the organization. In some cases, external forces will be required.

The optimal management of resources will allow the manager to take such actions that will lead, after a certain time, to the emergence of opportunities for income generation and enterprise development. Therefore, a proper approach to this procedure will ensure effective growth for the long term.
