The procedure for replacing the fuel filter on the car Lada Kalina

• The first thing to do is drive the car to a pit or overpass. Or, in extreme cases - just lift the rear of the car with a jack.
• After this, it will be necessary to relieve the pressure in the fuel system. This procedure is as follows: first, near the gearshift lever, open the lid on which the picture "Engine" is pasted. After this, it is necessary to remove the fuse, which is responsible for the operation of the fuel pump. It is in the very center - in blue.
• Then, on the right side in the area of the rear wheel, we find the fuel filter itself, which looks like a small metal container of cylindrical shape.
• As already mentioned above, no tool is needed, since the fuel filter is fixed with conventional latches on the hose fittings, and also with the help of a plastic clamp that holds the body of the element.
• First, detach the fittings with hoses in turn. They are fixed with metal clips, which must be pressed and pulled by the tips in the direction of removal.
• When the hoses are disconnected, you can proceed with the removal of the filter itself from the cage. For what it is enough just to slightly pull the body of the element, and it will be easily removed.
• Replace the fuel filter in the reverse order to removal. Note that this part has an arrow indicating the direction of fuel flow along the main line. It must necessarily be sent along the course of gasoline in the car power system.
• After the new filter element is installed in the cage, we put back the fittings with the hoses to the click so that everything is firmly seated.
• Next, you need to go back to Lada Kalina's salon and put the fuse back on its original place.
• It is worth noting that when you turn on the ignition after this procedure does not need to immediately start the engine. It is better to turn the ignition on and off several times to trigger the fuel pump and inject fuel into the injector.
• We start the car and let the engine run for a few minutes to test the fuel supply system to the throttle assembly.
