Quartz heater "TeplEko": reviews. Home heater: price

Technologies of heating houses do not stand still. Now in the Russian market quartz heaters are gaining popularity. They are characterized by experts and many homeowners as inexpensive and very effective devices. What are the features of the technologies involved in them? What advantages do they have in comparison with traditional types of devices?

What is quartz heating?

What are quartz electric heaters? What is the principle of their work based on? A heater for a quartz type house can be represented by two main technological classes.

First, there are heaters of infrared type. Their feature is that in their work, not air, but objects located in the room, is heated, by directing the corresponding frequency of radio waves to them. In some models of the device there is a flexible reflector, capable of turning to the desired angle.

Secondly, devices with a chromium-nickel core are produced. Actually, the devices of this class are often called quartz devices. Household heaters of this type are arranged very simply. Heat in them generates a heating element (it is made, as a rule, from chromium-nickel alloys), located inside the plate, the material of which is a mixture based on quartz sand. Its unique property is the ability to hold heat for a long time. As a rule, in the heaters of this type, effective thermostats are installed, which provide an optimal control of heat exchange between the heating elements in the device and the environment. Among the most important advantages of this type of heater is fire safety. The fact is that slabs, fitting the heating element, as a rule, do not warm to temperatures above 95 degrees. Proceeding from this technological feature, it is possible to observe also the ecological aspect of the advantages of quartz heaters - they do not dry the air.

Beneficial features

Among the especially noteworthy properties that any quartz heater - "TeplEco" (reviews about this brand - among the most frequently encountered) or another company possesses - they are almost completely noiseless. This kind of devices have a very long service life. This is mainly due to the isolation of the heating element from the air. That is, it does not oxidize, and therefore serves a long time. Another remarkable property, which has a heater for the house, belonging to the category of quartz, - rapid heating to the optimum temperature - about 20 minutes. The infrared device starts to heat the surrounding objects almost immediately after switching on (however, it is recommended to wait for about 10 minutes until the lamp reaches the optimum beam generation power).

Reliability

Monolithic quartz heater "TeplEko" (reviews of many users of the device confirm this) and many other brands - a very reliable device. The technology used in it is extremely simple. And because of the objective factors that can affect the violation of his work, very little. Sharp changes in temperature and humidity in the room do not mean anything from the point of view of the operational properties of the device. If the IR-device is used correctly, it will also be a reliable device with a long service life.

Control

Depending on the brand-manufacturer, the device management (both technological types) can be carried out both in manual and in automatic mode. In the second case, as a rule, there is a need to buy an additional accessory - a thermostat. This device allows you to optimize primarily the power consumption. Many Russian homeowners are striving to ensure that they have an economical heater in their apartment - a quartz-type device that satisfies this criterion to a large extent. The average level of electricity consumption in devices of this type is about 0.5 kW / h. This is several times smaller than the values, in particular, of convection heaters. True, for infrared devices the figure is slightly higher - 1.5 kW - but at the same time, the overall efficiency of heating objects located in the room, in relation to the energy consumed - is at the same high level as when using devices of the first technological type.

Remote control

It should be noted that the technological scheme of the heater of a number of modern models allows for the presence of a remote control module for the operation of the device, usually with the help of GSM communication. The landlord, being, for example, at work, can "call", no matter how surprisingly it sounds, on his heater or send him an SMS with an "order" to warm up the room to such a temperature. And this is also one of the elements of energy saving. Electricity will not be spent until the owner of the heater has properly disposed of it.

Installation and operation features

Features of the design of the quartz heater (if we talk about the technological modification, where the sand is used) are such that it can be mounted in a variety of ways - on the floor, on the wall. The device is so effective that it can be the main source of heating in the apartment - even if the central highway for some reason does not work. However, for this, probably, it will be necessary to purchase several modules of quartz heaters - however, as we have already noted, they can be placed almost anything. Therefore, the owner should not experience any problems in order to arrange such an efficient and economical heater. Installation work, as a rule, is not accompanied by any noise of drilling and other actions that require the use of powerful tools. Moving quartz heaters from place to place is also quite simple. One module of medium size is enough to heat the air in a room of about 16 square meters. M.

In turn, infrared heaters, as a rule, are also equipped with elements to improve the convenience of accommodation in the apartment. The only fundamental difference between such devices and those that are made with sand technology is the desirability of locating out of close contact with people: after all, prolonged exposure to infrared rays at a small distance can cause a person some discomfort.

The high energy efficiency of quartz heaters (of both technological types) is due, as a rule, to the corresponding efficiency in the aspect of converting electricity to heat. According to the calculations of specialists, the efficiency of systems based on devices of this type is about 30% higher than using traditional technologies. At the same time, if you use an automated temperature control system, the corresponding figure can be increased to 70%. Quartz sand functions in the aspect of maintaining heat, like "hot bricks". This makes it possible to achieve the highest energy efficiency of the device. The savings when using the thermostat is achieved due to the fact that the system, having fixed the temperature rise to the optimum level, stops the heating of the device. The heat is thereby retained by quartz sand. Typically, one thermostat can be connected simultaneously to 5-6 heaters.

Dimensions of devices

What sizes are typical solutions in the segment of quartz heaters? For example, the quartz heater "TeplEco", reviews of which - among the most common in the environment of users of this type of devices, is quite compact. Its main element - a plate - has a width of about 60 cm, a height of 35 cm, a thickness of about 2.5 cm. The weight of the heater is about 12 kg. Indicators, as we see, are quite acceptable from the point of view of the comfort of installation (which we already noted above) and the location of the instruments in the room. Places they do not take much, and any bulky supporting structures to hold them, as a rule, do not need to be mounted.

Easy maintenance

A quartz heater, a photo of a typical sample of which you can observe below, is a device that does not require regular maintenance. Heater, which uses sand, - about 5-6 years. The service life of heating elements in infrared devices is about 7,000 hours, which, on the whole, is comparable (provided the device is used rationally). All that a homeowner needs to do is to remove the surface of the device from excessive dust. Installation of any additional climate systems, ventilation solutions in the case of quartz heaters is not needed.

How to choose a device

Which of the quartz crystals is the best heater? What are the criteria for choosing the device? The brand, according to experts, is one of the most insignificant indicators. The level of technology that companies use to produce quartz heaters for the home - TeplEco, Profeco, Teplopit - is about the same. The most important criterion, which is most expedient to navigate, is the ratio of the price and capacity of the device, regardless of the specific technological type of the device. The factor of aesthetics, compatibility of color, form, design of the device with an apartment interior is important.

Although the first thing that probably needs to be done is still to decide: we are buying an infrared heater or a quartz heater, in the technological scheme of which the use of sand is envisaged. What are the main features of IR devices? Among the obvious advantages is the very high efficiency of heating objects in the room. It is enough to wait a few minutes for the lamp to reach the optimum radiation power, to direct the IR beam to the desired area of the objects - and they will heat up to the desired temperature in a few minutes. The disadvantages of IR heaters include the fact that, while objects are warming up, the air temperature rises to a very small extent. This problem can be solved to some extent by acquiring several devices and placing them around the perimeter of the room so that the coverage area of the beam is maximum. However, this option in operational terms can be quite expensive - the energy consumption of infrared devices, as we have already noted, is two to three times greater than that of their analogues made using sand technology.

At the same time, the infrared device is an ideal solution with central heating in operation. In this case, if the power of the batteries at some point in time is not enough (for example, the boiler works are under repair), it is quite possible to warm the air by several degrees with the help of IR devices. Not to mention that after just a few seconds after turning on the device, people in the room will feel a pleasant flow of heat. Thus, the infrared device is optimal if the air in the room somehow already warms to a temperature of at least 15-17 degrees.

What features are, in turn, characterized by a quartz monolithic heater - TeplEco, Profeco, Teplopit - and other brands? As we already noted above, such devices have minimized the level of energy consumption. Therefore, if we need quartz heaters for dacha, where, possibly, the energy system resources do not allow the use of quite energy-intensive infrared devices, the technological type in question is the best option. In addition, central heating is rarely carried out in dachas - this is another reason why a quartz monolithic heater is better for country houses than infrared heating. The thing is that this type of device is guaranteed to warm not only the objects in the room, but also the air in it. And if the device is equipped with a thermostat, it will automatically maintain the optimum temperature.

Thus, when choosing a heater, we can be guided by the following set of criteria.

1. If the room has central heating, and the power system allows you to withstand relatively large loads with appliances operating at high power, it is advisable to select an IR heater.

2. If the power grid is not fully adapted to energy-intensive devices, and at the same time central heating batteries are installed, it is more appropriate to buy a monolithic quartz heater - wall-mounted, floor-standing.

3. After we have decided on the technological type of the device, we can pay attention to the actual indicators of the ratio of price, capacity, and also to the appearance of the device.

Of course, it is possible with a combination of two types of heaters. And in this case the question of the presence of central heating is likely to become less relevant. A more important aspect will be whether the electric grid will sustain simultaneous connection of different types of devices.

Much is determined by the economic aspect of the use of devices - in particular, electricity tariffs. It is necessary to analyze the expected dynamics of using heaters. In particular, a monolithic quartz heater - wall-mounted or other modifications - consuming about 0.5 kW will work in the active state for about 7-8 hours a day. During this time, it will spend approximately 3.5-4 kW of energy.

If we are talking about an IR-instrument, then, consuming about 1.5 kW, it will probably work for about 3-4 hours. It turns out, monolithic - more economical heater. But everything, of course, is very individual. Perhaps, the landlord is willing to pay a little more for more comfort - especially if, for example, electricity tariffs are low - which is particularly true for country houses, where electricity prices are usually lower than in the city.

Typical specifications and prices

Let's take the option that we chose the quartz monolithic heater "TeplEco". The device we bought will have about the following technical characteristics. Many competing solutions from other brands have a set of corresponding parameters, in principle, quite similar. And therefore those characteristics, which we described below, can be considered a conditional reference point for devices in this segment.

About the dimensions we have already said above. Typical parameters for a monolithic type quartz heater are a width of the order of 60 cm, a height of 35, a thickness of 2.5. The device is not too heavy, its weight is about 12 kg.

Power, which has a quartz heater "TeplEko" (user reviews contain exceptionally positive estimates relating to this aspect), - just 0.4 kW. For comparison - about the same amount consumes a chandelier of 4 lamps with a power of 100 watts, a good LCD TV. On average, over a day the device spends about 2.54 kW of electricity. One quartz heater can efficiently heat a room of up to 18 square meters. M.

Heats up the "TeplEko" quartz heater (homeowner's reviews are also characterized by positive opinions on this matter) quite quickly - 20 minutes to a temperature of 95 degrees. The rate of cooling is slightly more than 1 degree in 2 minutes. Tom, as we have already said, contributes to the high heat capacity of the materials used in the production of this type of device.

Another aspect that the quartz heater "TeplEco" on the positive side (user reviews confirm this) is a democratic price. The device costs about 2 600 rubles. That, in principle, is not much more expensive than traditional types of devices. True, it is also necessary to take into account purchasing a "TeplEco" quartz heater, the price of accessories is a component that can not be excluded from the total cost estimate. For example, a thermostat compatible with the device will cost about 1000 rubles, a protective screen - about 1300 rubles.

If we want to be able to "ring" the heater from work, then we will have to get a GSM-module of remote control, which costs about 3700 rubles. Thus, in our heating system there will be not only the quartz heater "TeplEco" itself. The price of accessories is also subject to accounting.
