Pumping station: device and operation

The owners of a country house often have a question about water supply. If the family consists of three people, and the house and plot are small, and are used only in the summer period, then the usual household pump can cope with the delivery of water.

However, if necessary, to provide seven liquids during a year, as well as for summer watering of plants, it will be necessary to create a water supply network. An excellent assistant in such a case will be a household pumping station. It will quickly and conveniently provide the house with water.

Any pumping station is capable of independently pumping water from a source and delivering it to any point of water intake. In addition, the device can become an intermediary, which increases the pressure in the system. If there is not enough power of the main pump (deep or surface), then it can be connected to the station via a hose.

The units have advantages over conventional surface or deep devices. Firstly, the devices with power outage can still work for a while, or even a diesel pump station can be used at all.

Adaptation is capable of creating the necessary pressure for full-value water supply to the house and the plot. It has a low weight, and the unit can be mounted anywhere. The station operates with periodic outages and inclusions, which helps to reduce equipment wear.

The device unit is not very difficult for people who are at least a little knowledgeable in technology. The main component of the design is a surface pump equipped with an ejector. This element allows you to lift water from a 10-meter depth, delivering it to the desired point. The surface power of the whole station depends on the surface pump. From it to the source goes suction line, at the end of which is placed a grid and check valve.

The pump is completed with a steel pressure tank, which has a closed structure and consists of membrane-separated cavities. In one of them is water, and in the other is pressurized air. The pressure tank is designed to protect the entire structure from a hydraulic shock. It allows you to accumulate water in one of the cavities, which makes it possible to rest the pump. When the electricity is turned off, the system continues to receive water. Because of this property, the device is called a hydroaccumulator.

In addition, the pumping stations for water in their device have a pressure switch that turns off the pump when the head drops below the critical level, and when it rises to the set value. The manometer allows controlling all parameters. All components are connected together by means of pipes and fittings.

If the pump is connected independently, the pump station must be installed on a level surface, preferably on a concrete base. After this, the unit is rigidly fixed using shock absorbers made of rubber. To connect the device to the water supply system, you can take polypropylene pipes.
