Check valve and its application

A non-return valve is used to impart the desired direction to the internal medium, and it is the only one that is done to exclude the possibility of moving the existing medium in the opposite direction. This type of reinforcement is presented in several forms. The non-return valve can be swivel and lifting.

For oil tank farms and water intake devices, a valve with a grid is used, it is also called a receiving valve. The installation of this type of reinforcement is always carried out in a single direction. Increasing the sensitivity of the valve to changing the flow of the medium is possible due to the fact that the dish is equipped with a load or a spring. However, this can cause a loss of head, as well as an increased energy consumption, which is required to move the internal environment of the pipeline. In some cases, it is obliged to allow the circulation of the coolant in a natural way. In such devices, complete locking occurs when the return flow is higher than the calculated one. However, the circulation in this case does not stop, since there is a small hole in the disk of the element, which assumes responsibility for the necessary circulation of the medium inside the pipeline.

Sometimes a non-return valve is usable as a non-return-stop valve. This possibility is realized due to the fact that the device is equipped with a spindle or other element that allows to clamp the plate to the seat, thereby fixing it. Lifting valves are much simpler in terms of design than rotary valves, but they are absolutely identical in reliability and tightness. The disadvantage of this type of device is that when working in a dirty environment, sometimes a seizure of the shutter occurs. Lifting check valves are used for relatively small passage diameters and clean environments. In other cases, it is advisable to use the rotary type.

The non-return ventilation valve is designed to shut off the duct section in automatic mode when the fan is switched off. The principle of operation of these devices is gravitational. The valve flaps open under the influence of the air flow, and when the flow stops, they return to their original position also automatically. This principle of action serves as a constraint for the application of this type: in a horizontal section, it must necessarily be installed with a clear orientation "top-bottom" of the device, and on the vertical it is used only in the case of flow direction upwards. To this type of reinforcement is not customary to make demands for tightness.

In other areas, a non-return valve is also applicable. Sewerage uses it to block the flow of the flow in the opposite direction in case of clogging of pipes with various drains. Different types of devices are designed for different types of pipes, this allows you to achieve the desired effect in each specific situation.

Manufacture check valves of different materials. The concrete type is chosen proceeding from the type of pipes with which it joins.
