Pulp and paper industry as a branch of the national economy

One of the oldest and most developed branches of the national economy of any country, Russia in particular, is the pulp and paper industry. On the territory of the state the opening of the first plant of this type dates back to the epoch of the reign of Peter I. This enterprise was called "Krasnoselskaya paper manufactory". It was there that the development of the entire Russian paper industry as a whole began.

At the present stage this factory is referred to as: "Krasnogorod experimental pulp and paper plant". If in old times the production and processing of materials were carried out on foreign equipment, now thanks to the development of science and the introduction of new technologies, factories and factories use machines and machines of domestic assembly.

The pulp and paper industry is based on the production of a variety of quality paper, a diverse cardboard with a huge number of properties, as well as products from these materials. Wood fiber boards (popularly known as fiberboard) and insulating and fibrous raw materials are also the main products of this sphere of the national economy. Like any production, the pulp and paper industry in Russia and around the world has side effects of its work. So, they are fodder yeast, some chemical elements from the class of ethylene and fatty acids, turpentine, rosin and so on.

It's no secret that products such as paper for newspapers and magazines, the highest grade paper and its low-quality packaging analogue, different types of wallpaper are produced through wood processing.

At the same time, in many countries, forestry is saturated with materials from the very beginning, such an industry as the pulp and paper industry (about 70%), and then others. Finland is the first country to take such countries. In this state, and in others, too, the recycling of paper raw materials - recyclable or recycled paper - is common.

The newest technologies, which are used at the present stage, allow combining cardboard and paper with other materials. The result of successful experiments of this nature is the expanded production of waterproof, durable and lightweight packaging materials that are used in the transportation, storage and sale of certain types of liquids.

Typically, the pulp and paper industry uses for its purposes spruce and some hardwood trees. Cellulose is produced by chemical treatment of pine and birch.

The paper industry of Russia and other countries uses a chemical substance - chlorine - for bleaching paper pages. During the application of this element, aggressive compounds that adversely affect the environment are formed. Defenders of the planet in cooperation with various chemical companies advocate the use of oxygen for these purposes, which in no way affects the pollution of water bodies and air. To date, a huge number of enterprises are trying to go to the environmentally friendly technology.
