Pulmonologist: what heals and what is the difficulty of the profession?
To date, one of the most important occupations in medicine is the pulmonologist. What a specialist treats, few know. And this despite the fact that direct information about this is already in the very name of the profession, the first part of which means "easy." The fact that the lung specialist deals with diseases that affect the respiratory system, and in the first place the lungs themselves. Thanks to modern research methods and sophisticated tools, specialists in this field often succeed in helping even the heaviest patients.
The pulmonologist that heals?
As noted earlier, a doctor of this specialty is struggling with diseases that affect the respiratory system. It should be noted that in the vast majority of cases, pulmonologists work in tuberculosis hospitals. Such hospitals usually include pulmonary and phthisiatric cases. Naturally, the doctors of the specialty in question are working in the first department. This does not negate the fact that many pulmonologists are also engaged in phthisiology, becoming specialists of a fairly broad profile.
A pulmonologist should be engaged in such a disease as a severe pneumonia. He treats this disease better than infectious diseases, it is not worth talking, equipment for doctors of this specialty is intended just to combat such diseases. The widest choice of modern antibacterial drugs allows the pulmonologist to heal even the most severe variants of pneumonia.
Difficulty of profession
One of the most difficult occupations in medicine is precisely the pulmonologist. What many serious infectious diseases treat this expert, many know, but not everyone understands how dangerous they are for the doctor himself. Specialists of this profile often themselves become infected. And it must be borne in mind that a hospital infection is often more dangerous than others, since it has a high resistance to antibiotics, and therefore is difficult to cure.
