Political relations: types, structure and features

Political relations are the interconnections and interactions of social groups that arise in the course of political activity. Their origin occurs when the need for management and regulation of social processes begins to be carried out under the guidance of the state system. If we turn to the origins, we can see that such relations originate in the economy of society, more precisely, in those interactions that arise as a result of meeting the most important and basic needs of the population.

Political relations have both positive (the relationship of individuals representing different social groups, cooperation), and negative (competition) characteristics that contribute to both unification and the dissociation of people. However, the essence of such relationships is to establish a connection between the life of social actors and those problems and interests that are inherent in the whole society. Just the state acts as a structural element, which exercises control over maintaining this connection.

Let us note that political life and power relations are interrelated. Thus, the regime not only regulates and normalizes these relations, but also affects the specifics of their character. So, in a state with a totalitarian form of government, they are completely dependent on the vertical of power. As for a democratic society, the goal of political relations here is control, management and regulation. Let us note that an important role in their functioning and formation is played by the regulatory and legal framework that is inherent in a specific state.

A few other factors that affect political relations are the political culture of the country's population and the effectiveness of the current policy in the state. Note that this kind of interaction is formed on the basis of the interrelationships that are formed between social strata and ethnic groups of people. They are characterized by a certain stability and are the result of the alignment of political forces and the implementation of the program of the ruling elite of the state.

Note that all public relations become political if they begin to include the use of power of central and local importance.

Political relations manifest themselves in such basic forms:

- state bodies-constituent organizations;

- state-social groups;

- state-public organizations of non-state ownership;

- political parties-political parties ;

- political parties - non-political organizations;

- power-citizens;

- relations between states at the international level;

- state-international political associations.

At the heart of each type of similar relationship are interests and goals that may diverge or overlap. It is from the nature of the interaction of these concepts that the specific character of the development of relations between participants in political life is determined. They also depend on economic and social characteristics, as well as on public political culture and the will of the subjects of state power.

Political relations, therefore, are a combination of multilevel and different types of interaction between political actors. Their regulation is carried out by applying a set of social norms, for example, political principles, traditions, as well as legal and ethnic laws. Let us note that if in the society the acting subjects of political life change, this steadily entails changes in the principles of relations in this sphere.
