Pistol Mauser. Modern modification of the legendary weapon

The Mauser gun was always more than just a weapon. His legendary image formed participation in films and mention in literary works.

Contrary to its name, the pistol was developed by the Federle brothers, who worked at the Mauser armory. But in 1895 it was patented by P. Mauser, and in 1896 the same-name plant began its mass production. Due to the high power, the producers managed to install a fabulous price of DM 5000, exceeding the price of the Opel car, on the Mauser gun. Over forty-odd years, more than a million units of the K-96 pistol were fired. After German prohibition in 1939 to produce weapons with a caliber of more than 7.96 mm, this model was taken up by Spain.

The Mauser pistol is a light self-loading carbine, which makes it possible to conduct aimed fire from a distance of 200 meters. Its claimed deadly force from a distance of 1000 m did not justify itself, since the scatter of the bullets at that was several meters horizontally. For an effective aiming, an butt was required, but the designers did not foresee it. Therefore, as a pistol holster made of walnut wood. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Mauser K-96 was much superior in range to other short-barreled weapons.

In total, about one hundred modifications of the Mauser K-96 were developed. A significant change was the reduced size of the trigger, changes in barrel length and new types of fuse. Despite this, the Mauser pistols were hardly used to equip the army. Perhaps, the weight, size and uncomfortable charging-discharge were affected. In the very first modifications to empty the cartridge, the magazine cartridges had to be removed, after having manually worked out the whole cycle of recharging. But these weapons willingly bought up the civilian population - hunters, travelers, bandits.

Now the gun Mauser is produced in limited quantities. So, in 1970 the police ordered the Mauser H @ P, as it is easily and quickly brought into combat position. In 1983, its production was discontinued.

Traumatic pistol Mauser HSc mod.90 became a regular "branch" of short arms. The production is owned by Rohm GmbH under license from Mauser. This model is a 7-charge pistol with a double-action shock-trigger mechanism, a mass without bullets about 600 grams and a length of 165 mm. Outwardly, it does not differ much from the combat model of the Mauser HSc Super, popular in 1970-1980.

Mauser HSc mod.90 almost all except the steel trunk is made of light aluminum alloys. For the safety of others in the trunk, projecting prongs are provided, eliminating the possibility of firing solid bullets. Whereas rubber bullets pass through elasticity. The barrel itself is rigidly fixed in the frame, around it is a return spring.

On the left of the shutter is a fuse, when switched on safely removing the trigger from the combat platoon. When the fuse is switched off, the first shot is possible by self-cocking or manually cocking the trigger.

The pistol is powered by removable steel stores, housing 7 cartridges.
