Performing discipline: concept, management and improvement.

Freelancer is different from the ordinary worker, not at all by the specifics of his labor activity, but by the need to force oneself to perform discipline. After all, if at work this concept is taken for granted and is, as a rule, carried out a priori, then the freelancer from a well-organized performing discipline depends on the level of earnings.

Acquaintance with the performing discipline

The executive discipline is characterized as the process of execution by the employee or labor collective of orders, orders, decisions and orders that were accepted by the authorities. This kind of discipline arises from authoritarian behavior of superiors or severely regulated social necessity.

Even under the performance discipline is meant the timely and highly qualified performance of the assigned tasks. When a company consists of several people, then such a notion as the performing discipline in the organization is leveled. After all, there is a boss who follows everything, and subordinates understand that if the boss says something, then you need to do it.

If it comes to a large corporation, the performance discipline, or rather its absence, can turn into a serious problem.

Management of discipline

In each organization the work is formed as follows:

  1. The chief instructs the employee, clearly sets the goal and requirements, according to which the project will be evaluated.

  3. The employee surrenders his work.

The scheme is quite simple: the boss said - the subordinate did, however, the employee should not forget about the intermediate phases of the development of a particular project. Management of the performing discipline is precisely this.

Each manager should take care of the employee from time to time to report on the work done. As practice shows, projects that were delivered on the day of deadline are much lower in quality than those that were supervised by the authorities throughout the development phase. The firm can bring huge losses, which will depend on the size of the penalties and the number of missed, profitable offers.

Management of the performing discipline will help to avoid such incidents. Management means the introduction of a control system in the firm that will monitor the execution of contracts, improve the quality of projects and ensure teamwork.

Increasing the level of discipline

Executive discipline or performance, is characterized by four main indicators:

  • Quality of work.
  • Efficiency.
  • Timeliness.
  • Effectiveness.

These indicators can be improved by paying particular attention to certain points. First, before hiring an employee, you need to make sure of his level of qualification and work experience. It is worthwhile to study the personality characteristics of the candidate and his past work experience. Some owners of corporations are of the opinion that it is better to hire a person "without experience" because it's much easier to teach than to retrain. Employing employees need to consider all factors.

Secondly, it is necessary to establish the structure within the organization:

  • Discipline. Of course, we are not talking about the fact that for personal hygiene we were given time for several minutes and controlled up to seconds. But discipline must be. Familiarity in the team is on the one hand good, but on the other - the firm can suffer from this. Therefore, the disciplinary order should be the same for all, and for non-compliance with established rules, penalties should be imposed.
  • Versatility. Each project has its own peculiarities and nuances, therefore, experts recommend creating several groups of employees in the firm. Some will implement projects in accordance with universal quality requirements, and another group will customize this project to meet the personal requirements of the customer.
  • Qualification. Employees must develop. After all, the more experienced an employee, the higher the level of performance discipline, and, accordingly, the company's profit.

Do you need an executive discipline?

The executive discipline is the timely and qualitative execution of the task set by management. Considering labor discipline as the only option for forming relations in the work collective, many are overlooked, the category of performing discipline. And later they remain at a loss why the company is losing its positions and customers, is suffering losses and is bursting at the seams. After all, employees are not late and adhere to the dress code, fulfill all orders on time.

Perhaps, for labor discipline it is an indicator, but the performance discipline is oriented to other criteria. Employees should not just take the work on time, but report after each stage and guarantee the high quality of the project, only then it will be possible to talk about the development of the company and increase profits.
