The matte case is made of high quality polycarbonate. On the front of the camera you can see rubber lining, which provide additional ergonomics. Thanks to them, the camera is very well in the hand and does not even try to slip out. The main disadvantage is the weight of the device. When the camera is used for a long time, the hands become tired and numb. And in general, the mass Pentax K-50 - the largest among cameras of the same price category.

The body consists of 81 rubber seals, which perform a protective function. Due to this, the camera mechanism is completely protected from water, snow, rain, dust, etc. Therefore, it is possible to use the SLR even in unfavorable conditions. Of course, in the pouring rain it is not worth shooting (and the photos will come out low-quality because of low visibility). However, the camera will survive a slight rain. Functionality

Most of the characteristics went to the K-50 from its predecessor K-30. Thus, the new camera uses all the same 16.28 Mp matrix (APS-C size). Thanks to it, the camera makes pretty bright and closest to reality shots.

Nevertheless, K-50 is not a pale copy of K-30. The new device boasts improved processing algorithms. This allowed to increase the maximum threshold of ISO sensitivity up to 51200. In addition, the brainchild Pentax received a new module for autofocusing called SAFOX AF IXi +. It provides increased accuracy and faster focusing speed.

Attention is worthy and the image stabilizer. Thanks to him, the clarity of the image during shooting is improved several times even without using a tripod. Thanks to the good software, the camera quickly turns on and focuses. It is also worth noting that the speed of serial shooting is as much as 6 frames per second. Modes

The camera Pentax K-50 boasts a huge number of modes for shooting. Among them there is an automatic, and manual, and scenic (about 19 options), and video. The optical viewfinder provides a 100% field of view. A three-inch screen has a fairly high resolution (approximately 921 000 pixels). Features

Among other things, the Pentax K-50 provides the ability to shoot in HDR. This allows you to significantly expand the dynamic range. It is also possible to configure HDR (indication of activity, etc.). You can shoot directly from your hands, there is no need for a tripod. However, there is quite a significant disadvantage here - gluing and processing the photo takes quite a long time (about 13 seconds). Although it is worth noting that this is much faster than the speed of the same K-30.

The Pentax K-50 has a proprietary stabilization system called ShakeReduction. It compensates for the negative impact of the vibration of the device, which makes the photo more clear. It is also worth noting that the camera is capable of correcting chromatic aberration and distortion. Among the interesting trifles, you can mention the possibility of interval shooting.
