Pattern of an attic. Attic toys with their own hands

If you like to make gifts yourself, then the article will be interesting to you. Were you trying to sew textile dolls? They are very popular among hand-made goods. The finished pattern of the loft toy, which you can print or redraw from the screen, will help you to execute a cute souvenir that will improve your mood.

Why this name

All the characters performed in this style are very similar to the things that have lain in the attic for a long time, because the fabric has grown old and browned, and also permeated with the aroma of herbs, which are usually dried under a roof. Attic toys are also called coffee, since artificial aging is performed with the help of a coffee solution. Add vanilla and cinnamon to it. The design of the attic is always very simple. All the charm of the souvenir is in its gentle brown shade and unforgettable aroma. It's very simple to make such a thing.

Sequence of manufacture

These gifts are carried out according to the following technology:

  1. You will need a pattern of an attic toy, which you can take ready or draw yourself. The details are transferred to the fabric (usually coarse calico, linen or other natural) and cut.
  2. Finished elements are stained with a solution of coffee with vanilla and cinnamon.
  3. After drying, the parts are sewn on the wrong side, and then through the left small hole are turned out.
  4. The product is filled with sintepon or other material, the hole is sewn.
  5. Toys decorate, paint or embroider facial features on them, decorate with bows, lace, humorous phrases.

Forms of characters, as a rule, are very simple. The product is sewn from one, at most two or three parts, for example, the tail or ears are sewn to the body. So any novice needlewoman can make this gift.

Attic toys by their own hands: patterns

If you decide to tackle this kind of needlework, you have two options:

  1. Choose your favorite templates and sew on them your own souvenir.
  2. Take a piece of paper and come up with your own characters.

Choose what suits you best. For those who can draw and have fantasy, the second method is optimal. If you do not imagine that you can come up with a new and interesting, then use any ready-made template. It is enough to print it on a scale suitable for you or simply redraw it from the screen of the monitor, cut out the paper blank and use it to cut out the shape from the fabric.

Cats and cats

Any characters can be made using a very simple template, where only one part is present (two identical ones are cut out). All other elements are simply finished with acrylic on the finished product.

Presented above and below the template is good to use for "positives", which write funny labels. Do not forget to add PVA glue to the coffee solution. This will serve as a primer for the paint, so that pigments do not "fail" in the fabric and do not lose brightness.

Next are more complex patterns of attic toys. The cat on the next photo looks more realistic and proportional, but the form is still made simplistic. Before turning the toy, made according to the template, where there are sharp corners and shape transitions, strong fillets (tail, the area between the head and the body), make small cuts of the allowances on the seams. This will prevent the fabric from contracting after turning. Work with scissors very carefully, so as not to damage the stitched seam.

The next version of the toy can be performed as a single whole, and sew the ears with separate parts. The muzzle is easy to embroider.

Such a pattern, as in the next picture, will be good for the Day of All Lovers. A heart (one or even several) can be painted, sewed on top in the form of a patch or embroidered. If you increase its size, you can use it to write the text.

As you can see, the patterns of the same animal differ significantly in form. Take any variant of the template or, if desired, refine it. For example, to the first one you can add four paws and a tail, sewing them in the form of separate parts. Size also do the one that suits you.

Attic toys (patterns): owls

The first illustration shows the simplest version. Cut out two identical parts from the fabric and sew around the perimeter. Eyes, wings, paws, paint with acrylic paints.

The next option is to use as a "positives" or valentines. In the heart write a cheerful text. Wings and legs are sewn in separate parts, consisting of two elements. They can be filled in the same way as the base, filled with sintepon or left flat. Beak and eye paint or embroider.

According to the following scheme, you can sew a toy with volumetric wings and eyebrows. Do the paws on your own. All the rest is better to draw.

Below is another simple version of the toy. The details shown on the diagram, use as desired. Draw them, embroider them, make them bulk out of the fabric in the form of separate elements filled with synthepone.

All presented owl blanks have smooth forms transitions, and their configuration is simplified as much as possible. So choose any option. They are all easily doable.

Teddy bear and hare

If you decide to make attic toys, patterns for them can be made already with the allowances for seams or without them.

The upper photo shows the line on which you want to scribble. If it does not, step back from the edge a few millimeters and draw it yourself inside the contour or outside on the fabric.

As you can see, almost all the presented characters are symmetrical with respect to the vertical, so when you transfer the template to the fabric, you can simply fold the material in half, and apply half a pattern to the fold line.

"Positives"

Many needlewomen put up photographs that show funny, very emotional attic toys. Patterns for them are taken absolutely any, on the principle "The simpler, the better." Positive and fun they are obtained by expressing the face and original humorous inscriptions directly on the character. Often an unusual (unnatural) form is given to animals. Cats are like balls or rectangles or have, on the contrary, too elongated proportions with elongated necks. However, the configuration is not the main thing. You can see whole "collections", sewed on one pattern. Each character reflects his emotions (he is surprised, laughs, frowns) and has a text composed with a sense of humor.

So, you saw how simple it is to make an attic toy. It's easy to build it yourself. If you do not know how to draw and invent new things, take any ready-made template, print it on the right scale and use it to make a souvenir.
