Completed by skilled craftsmen, floral patterns from beauty atlas sometimes surpass real bouquets. Peony - one of the popular subjects for embroidery among unmarried ladies, since there is a sign about an imminent meeting with the narrowed after finishing work with this plant.

How to embroider ribbons

Embroidery of pions with ribbons, the master class of which we propose in our article, begins with the preparation of the tools necessary for the work. Not all of these items may be needed, but it is advisable to stock them. So, we will hold a master class on embroidering pions with ribbons. You will need the following materials:

  1. Cloth or canvas. It can be monophonic or with an applied textured pattern. The main parameter when choosing a material is density. It is important that the stitches do not shine through.
  2. Tapes of different sizes and shades. For one peony flower, you need 2 m of tape with a width of 5 mm, 1 m 40 cm of tape 1 cm wide, 1 m 40 cm tape width 2.5 cm, 70 cm tape width 4 cm.
  3. Needles of different sizes for different widths of ribbons. The peculiarity of such needles is blunt tips.
  4. A set of hoops of different diameters.
  5. A lighter or a candle made from high-quality wax, for processing the edge of the tape.
  6. Several scissors, awl and pliers.
  7. Ball point pen or felt-tip pen.

In some techniques, ribbon embroidery peonies are made separately, and then simply sewn to the canvas.

Execution of the middle of the flower

We lay the base fabric on the embroidery frame. On the canvas, we mark the middle of the flower, drawing two concentric circles 2 and 3 cm in diameter at the selected location. You can do this with a pen, traces will not be noticeable in the end.

We begin embroidery with ribbons of peonies from a ribbon with a width of 5 mm:

  • We measure out 2 meters, we put in a needle, and the tip is gently burned with a candle to make a petal.

  • We begin to embroider the pions with satin ribbons on the front side: insert the needle into the center of the inner circle, leave a small "tail" 2 cm long and bend it to the side. This will be the first petal.
  • We begin to form the middle of the flower, making loops and filling them with an inner circle drawn on the fabric. To do this, take the pen, wrap it with a tape and insert a needle into a smaller circle. It is desirable to make loops of equal height. For the center we use all 2 meters of tape.

Shortly before the end of the process, the handle is removed, and the loops are placed at random, without leaving the inner circle, so that the middle of the flower looks natural.

1 cm petals of ribbon

We continue embroidering the pion with ribbons 1 cm wide:

  • Cut off 1 m 40 cm and process the edge of the candle, creating a petal. To do this, we bring the ribbon sideways to the middle of the flame, in order to avoid the formation of blackness, and we burn both sides and front. The corners will bend, and the leaf will look like real.
  • Introduce the ribbon next to the middle so that the petal at the end is directed to the center of the flower.
  • Then there may be two options: cut the tape, fixing it on the inside of the lighter, and start all over again or insert the needle next to it, bringing it to the front and singing over the candle.

The tape should be printed inverted to the middle. The height of wide leaves is chosen arbitrarily, it should be slightly larger than the central ones. We work in a circle, moving along the edge of the middle of the flower. To make python fluffy, embroidery with ribbons of petals should be done in two circles.

Petals from the ribbon in 2.5 cm

  • Now take the tape width of 2.5 cm, measure 70 cm.
  • The petal is done with scissors, cutting corners and beating the edge with the sides of the candle. We make the height more than on the previous circle.
  • From small petals we recede about 3-4 mm. All other actions are repeated, as in working with a tape in 1 cm.

Masters of embroidery with pion ribbons recommend cutting off the tape with a margin to form the edges.

Petals along the outer edge

For the widest petals we use a ribbon 4 cm wide:

  • Determine how much of it is needed per petal, adding the height of the petal and the necessary length for output to the wrong side - it will be about 7-8 cm.
  • Cut the tape into 8 equal parts.
  • The formed leaves are cut from one side by an angle, and on the other by a semicircle.
  • We scorch the edges, trying to make them uneven, like real peonies, and the sides to curl the petals.
  • We insert an acute corner into the needle, insert the needle from the front side into the wide circle and tighten the tape.
  • Now you need to pull the lower part of the petal to the sides and tighten again, so that it looks like a real one.
  • The next segment of the tape is inserted opposite.

Repeat the process until the leaves are exhausted.

Now you can remove the work from the hoop, shear off excess on the wrong side and solder the edges of all the petals to the center with a lighter. Peony ribbon embroidery is completed. If you repeat this process several times, adding a story to the leaves, you will get a magnificent bouquet of spring flowers.
