Park "Trubetskoy Manor in Khamovniki". Mandelstam Park

At the end of the 17th century Prince Vasily Golitsyn was granted a plot on the Maiden Field beyond Khamovniki Sloboda. He, in turn, presented him as a gift to his sister, the wife of Yuri Petrovich Trubetskoi. In 1758, under Nikita Yurievich Trubetskoi, the main house was built in the estate - a small palace with a belvedere. Nearby there were other buildings: pavilions, two ponds with islands and rotundas, and around - a magnificent garden. In the XIX century, the Trubetskoy Estate in Khamovniki could claim the role of the center of Moscow's cultural life. Here often there were writers, scientists, philosophers and other prominent figures of the country, but by the end of the XIX century the estate began to be sold. The owner of the estate was a merchant Pavel Evstafievich Nemchinov. He remained with him until the revolution of 1917 .

After the revolution

Civil war caused great damage to the estate. The trees of the lush garden turned into a dry land, there were piles of garbage. In 1923, by the decision of the district party committee, the former Trubetskoy estate in Khamovniki became a place for the cultural pastime of the workers. Its name also changed: Soviet workers came to rest in the park of Mandelstam, named after the name of the revolutionary A. V. Mandelstam. On subbotniks the inhabitants of the city brought the territory in order. There were attractions, a cinema, sports grounds, shooting range. We can say that Moscow, Khamovniki and the former princely estate gave our country the "progenitor" of modern parks of culture and recreation.

The appearance of a children's park

In 1936, the history of this place received a new round of development. Here they opened the first children's park in the capital. It was considered one of the best green areas in Moscow. Children spent time on the playgrounds, a boat pier, a children's theater, a fishing circle, a sports town and even a parachute tower were equipped.

However, the Great Patriotic War brought its own corrections to the development of the park. The trees were almost completely cut down. In their place came the anti-aircraft battery and a workshop for the repair of military equipment.

In the post-war years, the city station of young people worked here. With the help of all Moscow schoolchildren from 1945 to 1960, trees were re-planted, which now decorate the capital. By the way, the modern park "Homestead Trubetskoy" in Khamovniki almost completely repeats the scheme of the princely estate of the XVIII century. Similarly, there are paths, alleys, plantings and flower beds.

After the closure of the station during the period of perestroika, the wooden elements gradually become unusable, and by 1992 only the greenhouse and the shed remain in the park, in which are placed mugs of naturalists and zoogolds.

Revival

Naturally, this could not continue. The law that was issued "On Education" raised the issue of the need to restore the park and its role in the additional education of children.

In 2002 the structure of the park was reorganized. He included a children's and youth center with an equally glorious history. Earlier it was the first House of Pioneers in Russia, which did not stop its work even during the Second World War. He combined hundreds of guys who at that difficult time helped the soldiers to the best of their ability: they sewed mittens, pouches, handkerchiefs for them, arranged concerts, were on duty at home and even extinguished the "lighters." Over the years of its existence the House of Pioneers has received many awards and letters. Now it is the house of children's creativity, which is united with a place like the children's park "The Homestead of Trubetskoy in Khamovniki", and, by the way, has the same name.

They participate in competitions and theatrical performances, in summer they go to the camp with their pets. Usual vacationers can watch the departure of horses from the rostrum. For the little visitors there are two children's playgrounds with a soft covering so that young researchers can travel without obstacles and scratched knees. For the most active there is a rollerdrome. On the equipped track, competitions are often held. Interesting A reliable path, where young visitors are taught to provide first aid. In winter, the children with great pleasure seeks to the King-mountain, to feel the whistling of the wind during a descent.

The park "Homestead Trubetskoy" in Khamovniki has its own small zoo. Squirrels live in squirrels. For those who want to feed them a special plate with the indication of favorite treats is installed: honey, cottage cheese, jam. However, immediately there is a warning that it is highly recommended not to put fingers in the cage, because it is fraught with injuries. But the fish in the pond are strictly forbidden to feed. In the poultry house you can see wavy parrots, indotoks, inseparers, geese, pheasants and, of course, chickens.

Behavior rules

The park is well looked after, and the guard carefully follows the order. Since this is a place for children and family recreation, alcohol and cigarettes are under strict prohibition. By the way, there are regular events devoted to the prevention of alcohol, drug and nicotine addiction. Young mothers with strollers prefer the children's park during compulsory walks with the baby, because beautiful nature, an amazing combination of antiquity and modernity, clean air and the absence of "suspicious personalities" create excellent conditions for recreation.
