Childhood

Little Kolenka saw this huge world on the ninth day of August 1930. His homeland was the village of Ivankovo in the Gavrilovo-Posadsky district of the Ivanovo region. He was one of a huge number of children in the family of Pelageya Matveyevna and Gavril Ivanovich. Three years after his birth, the family was forced to flee collectivization. All moved to the village of Orgtrud, which at that time was located very close to Vladimir (and now it's just a neighborhood of the city). They have lived there ever since. When the growing up Smorchkov Nikolay celebrated his 12th birthday (the boy was then in his seventh year), he fell in love with filmmaking, just got infected with it. So he made an important decision for himself - to become a film actor.

Hello, VGIK!

Having received a certificate on the termination of the school, the future actor moves to the capital of the Soviet Union - to Moscow. He had been thinking about what he would do in life for several years. To realize your dream, Smorchkov Nikolai Wanted to get the education he needed, so in Moscow he goes to VGIK. The course he chooses is the one where the educators were famous Sergei Gerasimov and Tamara Makarova. The first film works

Smorchkov Nikolai, whose biography interested the viewers almost instantly after the release of his first works, began to appear while still a student. He studied only in the second year, when the first role came into his life. In 1951, he happened to play the collective farmer Zhenya Strukov in Sergei Gerasimov's film The Rural Doctor. In 1953, Smorkov finished his studies at VGIK, receiving a red diploma.

Now the young man's dream was, in general, realized. He could begin to work, taking as a basis some already accumulated experience. Nikolai Smorchkov - the actor came to the backstage theater-studio of the actor and to the famous film studio "Mosfilm". He worked there for four decades, giving the audience one hundred and ninety-two roles in the cinema in a variety of roles. He was a collective farmer and a Komsomol, an apprentice and a chauffeur, a soldier and a crane operator, a buyer and a saboteur, a policeman and a teacher, a tractor driver and collector, a partisan and a sailor, a KGB officer and an employee of the Foreign Ministry ... And each of his characters, he gave a piece of his soul.

At first, Smorchkov was torn between theatrical stage and the set. In the theater, he went out to the audience in the play "Evening of Old Vaudevilles". I traveled with him for a long time on tour. And yet the love of cinema was stronger, she still won a final and unconditional victory.

Two remarkable sons grew up in this family: the senior one is a graduate of MGIMO, and the youngest graduated from the Moscow Road Institute.

Exclusively for the sake of his family, in order to improve housing conditions, the actor once decided to buy a cooperative apartment in Moscow. To realize this acquisition, he, being already a famous actor with a certain weight in society, began to agree to any proposals, even on episodes. Because of this, in a short time, a stamp of "episode" stuck to Smorchkov. The characters of the famous actor were simple Russian muzhiks, military men or workers.

Despite his rather respectable age (the actor is already 85 years old), he is still as vigorous and efficient. And he continues to do his favorite thing, still shooting in the movies.
