"Nevskaya Town Hall" - an object forming a new "business" face of St. Petersburg

The second largest city in Russia - St. Petersburg - needs business districts, that is, the places where business circles, public organizations, and administrative bodies should be concentrated with maximum convenience for work-everything that, apart from each other in walking distance, should Promote successful business and economic development of the country.

New business district

To the existing large network of business centers "Senator", objects of which are located in all administrative units of the city, and many other business districts of St. Petersburg, will soon be added a whole business quarter "Nevskaya Ratusha", located in the historical center of the Northern capital.

The very word "town hall", borrowed from the Polish language, literally means "house of councils". But initially these state institutions were merchant's boards. This suggests that the name of the new business center is not only beautiful - "Nevskaya Ratusha", but also absolutely accurate.

Everything you need - in walking distance

Here, in one place, everything that is necessary for solving urgent problems will be concentrated, even a four-star hotel where participants of negotiations and business meetings will be delayed. But the most important thing is that in the new business district, located on an area of 6.1 ha, there will be 7 business centers of class "A" and the building of the city administration. One of the most important advantages of this project is its location: between Degtyarny lane, Novgorodskaya and Moiseenko streets.

The center is always an advantage

Unlike the "Okhta Center" transferred from the city center, the Nevskaya Town Hall, located in the heart of the metropolis, is surrounded by three central metro stations, the nearest one being Chernyshevskaya (15 minutes' walk). In the immediate vicinity of the business district there are two train stations - Finland, from which the express Allegro leaves in Helsinki, and Moscow, where the Sapsan arrives. Located in the most convenient place for business "Nevskaya Town Hall" was conceived as a large-scale business district, providing on its territory all necessary for work and residence infrastructure. In addition to buildings for purely business meetings, even such projects as the Interactive Science Museum for Children were considered. Terms - 2007 (the beginning) and 2018 (the end of the works).

Match the face of the city - a necessary condition

The total erected area is 366 431 square meters. Organizations and firms will be accommodated in buildings whose external appearance is bound to gracefully fit into the surrounding picture. The authors of the project took into account the fact that where the Nevskaya Town Hall is located, where the center of St. Petersburg is located, whose architecture is known to the whole world, nothing should disturb the historical face of the city that has developed for centuries. Therefore, the architecture of the administrative and business district, which forms the new look of the Northern capital as a major financial, economic, cultural center, is made in the style of modern classics, which is characterized by exquisite decor (colonnades and pilasters) and clear characteristic lines. Decorative plaster facades from Travertino Romano, giving the walls the look of an ancient stone due to marble granules, makes the business area aristocratic, something reminiscent of Italy. And this fits well with the architecture of St. Petersburg, over the image of which many masters from this country worked. The square in front of the main administrative building of this area was conceived as one of the new large squares of the city, along with Isaakievskaya and Dvortsova. The neighborhood will be decorated with landscaping. Part of the city administration will move to new residences, so the residents call the Smolny-2 construction site.

Stages of construction

The construction of the Nevsky Town Hall is carried out in three stages. The first provided for the construction of the second and third buildings of the business center, the building of the Administration, where the officials of various profile committees of St. Petersburg, the trade and service infrastructure, the public zone, the entrances from the streets of Novgorod and Moiseenko should move, that is, at the first stage all architectural Dominants of the complex. The second stage provided for the full building of Moiseenko Street and the final design of the passage from it to Degtyarny Lane.

The third stage formed everything into a single ensemble, which includes 9 objects. Financing for the construction is carried out by VTB, so the global crisis slowed down the construction of the facility slightly, and still the timing of their entry has been adjusted. In October 2013 the first two buildings in Degtyarny Lane, envisaged by the first stage of construction, were put into operation. One of them is fully intended for VTB structures.

The crisis is making its own corrections

Then, in October 2013, began the second stage of the construction of the Nevskaya Ratusha complex, the construction of which is gaining momentum on the site of the former tram park. The infrastructure of the facility includes absolutely everything - a pharmacy and a hotel, a bank branch and ATMs, a cafe and a restaurant, a dry cleaning and beauty salon, a fitness center, conference rooms and a shop.

The business center "Nevskaya Ratusha" has the most effective Planning decisions - and this is not one of its advantages. But crises, as a rule, affect expensive projects, such as the "Nevskaya Ratusha", in which an object of class "A" is provided. They are falling on demand because of the high cost, albeit justified. And therefore, the expensive buildings of the second stage of construction will be completed as tenants appear, otherwise they become unprofitable. The administrative building is delayed, but it is planned to be handed over in January 2015.
