Mushroom umbrella is edible: exotic appearance and excellent taste!

Among the little-known mushrooms is quite exotic - the mushroom umbrella is edible. This species includes three varieties: umbrella white, mottled and blushing. They all refer to saprotrophs, grow at the same time, appear in the same places. Mushroom umbrella edible affects the imagination with its size, it reaches unprecedented sizes on the spacious sunny edges: the diameter of the cap is 50-60 cm, the height of the leg is 40-45 cm. It seems strange that these specimens are edible.

The umbrella is a mushroom (photo above), which belongs to the 4th category. Although few of the mushroom pickers dare to collect these giants because of their similarity with fly agarics and grebe. The lamellar fruiting body has a hat on average 15-25 cm in diameter, but it happens much more. In young fungi it is always ovoid, convex, then straightens, becoming like an umbrella. The cap has a peculiar hillock in the center. Large brown scales remain in the adult fruiting body on the entire surface of the fungus. The edges are slightly hung down, have fringe. A very specific kind of hat suggests that this species can not be edible in any way. Giant sizes and unusual appearance are more like fly agaric and toadstool.

However, the younger the mushroom umbrella is edible, the safer and tastier the prepared dish. Its pulp is friable, white, very dense, in old specimens it is wadded, but with a pleasant aroma and characteristic mushroom taste.

Leg very long, brown, in diameter 2-3 cm, height up to 30-50 cm. At the point of contact with the ground, it is always thickened. The surface is scaly, the flesh is rigid, because of what the legs are often culled during processing. On the body there is a ring that you can easily move up and down, because it is attached freely. A characteristic "snake" or scaly pattern is only found in edible umbrellas, and there are no poisonous analogues - this is the main distinguishing feature.

The plates contain a white spore powder. The young fungus is white, then reddish veins appear. The umbrella blushing features a smooth stem and a ripening flesh on the fracture.

You can find mushrooms umbrellas edible throughout the globe. Their distribution is so widespread that almost any deciduous or mixed forest can boast of these giants. Also they can be found on fields, meadows, in park areas. Fruit bodies appear at the height of summer and grow until the end of September, especially resistant with ease experienced in October frost, however, lose their beautiful appearance. You can see them on glades, fringes, along roads and even on garden plots. In well-lit places can form impressive colonies, the so-called "witch rings".

Mushroom umbrella edible is usually not harvested for future use, it is good in boiled and fried form, but not suitable for preservation. In this case, especially large specimens, only hats are used for preparing dishes. When choosing them, you must be extremely careful. As soon as the umbrella hat opens completely, the fungus becomes unfit for consumption.
