This tool allows you to quickly and accurately attach parts to the bases of metal, brick or concrete, having a thickness of up to 4 mm. This process takes place by "fixing" the dowel-nail, that is, without pre-drilling the hole. The result is a permanent attachment.

If the details of other materials, their thickness is allowed up to 55 mm. At the same time, the connection is removable and is performed with the help of a screw dowel.

Characteristics

With this tool, you can hammer the plug (4.5 mm in diameter) into a 1.2 cm thick steel sheet. This value is an indicator of the power of the gun. If the construction is steel with a thickness of 1.2 cm, the dowels use a DVM 4.5x28 or DG 4.5x30. In this case, it is allowed to attach a four-millimeter steel piece.

Mounting gun PC-84 can be used at temperatures from minus 30 to plus 50 degrees.

The device, the principle of operation

Pistol assembly piston PC-84 belongs to the category of self-cocking single-shot tools. The dowels are driven by a piston, which is driven by the energy of expanding the powder gases.

The main components of the pistol are:

• Trunk.

• Body with handle.

• Piston.

• Shock absorber.

• The leader.

• Clamping device.

The dowel is placed in the guiding device, which also ensures the movement of the piston. During the combustion of the explosive, a shock wave appears that pushes the piston along the trunk. The gas pressure is sufficient to move the piston and dowel to a distance of 4.5 cm. Then gases enter the hole and are dropped. Further movement is due to inertial forces. And the dowel with the piston stops due to the resistance of the material from which the construction base is made.

A bumper is installed in the boring of the guide. Due to its deformation, the piston stops in cases with excessive energy (when the dowel is fully engaged and the piston continues to move).

From the possible rebound and debris protects the clamp.

The piston is returned to its place after the shot by hand, when a new dowel is inserted into the trunk.

Terms of Use

To work with a mounting gun, you need to choose only fasteners that are harder than the bases to be joined. You can check this in a simple way. To do this, the dowel must be applied alternately to the two surfaces and hit it with a hammer. If the point of the dowel bends, then it does not fit.

When using the pistol in the beginning, it is necessary to move the piston to the left. To do this, use a ramrod. Next, a dowel is placed in the guide. A washer is inserted into the ball retainer. The handle is turned to the left, thereby removing the clutch from the casing.

The cartridge is mounted by a hinge device located in the handle. At this stage, the mounting gun PC-84 is ready for use.

When working with this tool it is important to take a comfortable pose. Next, the gun is applied to the attachment point at a right angle (90 degrees), pressed, pressed on the handle and fired, pulling the starting lever to failure.

In order to ensure the safety of the gun is equipped with a blocking shot, which works in the following situations:

• Pressing the trigger lever if the barrel of the gun is not pressed against the base (a shot into the air is impossible).

• If the coupling is not fully rotated (the gun is not closed).

• When the gun is hit hard against the surface, if the trigger lever is not pressed.

• If the gun falls from a height not exceeding 150 cm.

Mounting gun PC-84 refers to tools with increased danger. Therefore, when working with it, you must follow all safety rules. Be sure to use personal protective equipment (helmet, glasses, headphones, gloves).

Charge the gun only at the site of installation work. During the break, the instrument must be discharged. During charging, the cartridge should not be damaged.

It is forbidden to finish the dowel with a second shot.

In the case of installation works inside the premises, good ventilation should be equipped to prevent the possibility of poisoning by dangerous substances of powder gases.
