Morals as a regulator of public behavior

The moral component of a person's personality is not present in itself. These qualities must be educated, and it is best from childhood. Having learned from early years, "what is good and what is bad," the child, as he grows up, can already make conclusions about his actions and strangers, giving them a positive or negative assessment. However, in case of inadequate perception of reality, a person can not see the line between moral and immoral actions, moreover, he changes them by places.

The norms of morality are a subjective concept. The epoch, state regime, religion is important. Looking around the history of mankind, one can see that what was once considered the norm is what is now unacceptable in a civilized society, for example, inquisition, corporal punishment and slavery. And at the same time, now in Russia there is a drop in morale in comparison with the era of the Soviet period. Often it turns out that in an attempt to impose certain moral standards on the people , the state itself violates them, and subsequently the society, having escaped from moral oppression, starts "all the hard."

Conscious citizens are encouraged to develop in themselves and in children such
Moral values, like compassion, kindness, conscience, duty, responsibility,
dedication. Unfortunately, when faced with a brutal reality, many people lose these qualities over time.

If morality is an internal regulator of behavior, then the rules of law affect society from the outside, imposing certain sanctions upon violators. As a rule, legal norms are documented. In the norms of law, the will of the people is proclaimed, the state exercises control over their observance, it establishes the punishment and executes it.

The correlation between the norms of law and the norms of morality is manifested both in general terms and in differences. They are united by the focus on the improvement of society by regulating social relations. The difference is that legal norms are regulated by the state, and moral standards, firstly, are not documented, and secondly, they rely not on the rule of law, but on the power of public censure. Violation of moral norms is not punishable by law, but it can cause condemnation of surrounding people, and also society as a whole, and besides, cause aggression from the environment. Also the norms
Morality is wider in the zone of its operation, because in no legal act
Such concepts as honesty, chastity, devotion, love for one's neighbor are spelled out.

Here it is necessary to mention still such public phenomenon, as religious
Norms. After all, they are the source of moral and spiritual values. AT
Depending on religion, a person is an adherent of those or other
Norms, but in countries where religion is
Sacred prescriptions are necessary, whereas in non-religious states they
Are only recommendatory. Norms of morality, or commandments, are the guide to action for highly religious people, whereas people far from the faith can not pay any attention to them, with the exception of the commandments, which correspond with the rules of law, for example, "do not kill" or "do not steal."

Many people call the situation in modern society "degradation" and
Call people to spiritual perfection. However, as mentioned above, history develops in a spiral, so it is hardly possible to call modern youth a lost generation. Of course, the moral character of a person depends on him and his environment, but still the state should participate in the moral revival of society, but now it happens only in words.

I want to believe that the norms of morality will be stronger than the current trends propagated from TV screens and Internet pages.
