In the second half of the nineteenth century, with the beginning of the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway, Russia had only one institute, where railway engineers were trained, in St. Petersburg. The shortage of specialists was felt tremendously, so the idea of creating a second higher educational institution that would satisfy all these needs has appeared. The location of the new institute on its territory was sought by many cities: Kazan, Kiev, Ekaterinoslav, Voronezh, Saratov. This public organization is called the MGUPS Graduate Association (MIIT) and is a single information platform for maintaining communication between people who have studied in the same institute, working in different sectors and even in different countries. The feedback from the MIIT teachers shows that secondary vocational education is a step in an unbroken chain, and the best students come to the university from secondary vocational schools in the structure of the university where they were trained in 32 specialties, that is, in nine major major areas of this training. The university produces highly qualified graduates in the field of transport and transport construction, this is above all. Dormitory

Reviews of out-of-town students about the university's university dormitories are different, like heaven and earth. In general, the hostel MIIT has eight, and, as it became clear from the reviews, four of them require repairs and a more comfortable arrangement. Two hostels are ideal, the remaining two are in an ordinary average state. But getting a seat even in an uncomfortable building is not so easy. To budgetaries the hostel is given in the first place, but only to those who live more than sixty kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road.

Preference is given to those who entered the technical profession. Those who study for fee, can count on a place in a building located in the city of Pushkino, costing from 2700 rubles a month. But in general, reviews about student hostels MIIT differ little from those described by students of other universities. In the general mass, they are very similar. Control of staff on duty is conducted around the clock, the student council works well, competitions are organized, sports competitions, evenings and much more. In the branches of the case, the living conditions of the students are not better, but Moscow has always been too crowded, and the students of many other universities have the same problems.
