Lysergic acid diethylamide - infinity is not the limit.

Lysergic acid diethylamide is a psychedelic and hallucinogenic narcotic substance, better known as LSD. On the black market, this drug is most often found in the form of a solution, which is impregnated with blots ("stamps") or applied to a piece of sugar. The drug is almost always used orally.

The substance was first obtained by the Swiss chemist A. Hofmann in 1938. Diethylamide d of lysergic acid promised to open a new era in the treatment of psychiatric diseases, but this did not happen. Instead, it was the era of mass consumption of narcotic drugs.

Lysergic acid diethylamide is a practically insoluble solid in water that crystallizes as prisms. Colors, smell and taste it does not. As a representative of amines, the compound can form salts of inorganic and organic acids, which usually dissolve well in water. In doing so, they retain the physiological activity of the parent compound.

Lysergic acid diethylamide is produced by the interaction of diethylamine with lysergic acid, which is obtained from ergot alkaloids of an ergot fungus parasitizing on various cereals. The production process is rather complicated - the annual volume of manufactured LSD is measured in kilograms, therefore this narcotic substance has a high cost.

The biochemistry of the action of the compound on the body remains unclear until the end. Lysergic acid diethylamide is a substance similar in its structure to one of the natural mediators of the body - serotonin. He is responsible for the transmission of nerve impulses, the state of rest and sleep, and also regulates the processes of accumulation of energy. The psychoactive effect of LSD is manifested in any way it enters the body. There are three stages of the drug.

The initial stage lasts up to 1.5 hours. Dimethylamide of lysergic acid acts individually for each person. However, most users are dizzy, agitated, sometimes anxious. In this case, the pupils dilate, and the skin turns pale or turns red - the person throws, then in the cold, then in a fever. Breathing slows down, the pulse becomes rapid, movement coordination may be observed . Colors seem more saturated and bright, the planes begin to flex wave-like or rhythmically to pulsate, and various objects during the movement leave a gradually disappearing train.

The second stage lasts somewhere 8-12 hours. All effects become stronger and more intense. Appear hallucinations and visions that materialize out of nowhere - from the fog, lines on the hands, any object. Sensations can be mixed. Color can be a sound, and vice versa. When the peak is reached, the time stops. Users feel themselves in a different world. Someone feels part of the universe, and someone becomes to her.

Some people can be very frightened. Sometimes it happens that at this stage there is a psychosis associated with paranoia. In this case, seek medical attention. LSD should be treated with caution, since taking the drug can lead to various mental disorders. In the final stage, the effects go to a decline and after a few hours completely stop.
