Amadins: maintenance and care. Ornithologists' advice

Today, the popularity of cats and dogs as pets has declined slightly. Modern pet stores offer their customers hundreds of different animals. People more and more start to start a variety of amphibians and feathered pets. A striking example of such birds is the Amadin, the content and care of which, although they require some effort, but pay off a hundred times their sweet chirping and friendliness.

Amadins are birds from a large family of finch weaver. They attract their owners with very colorful and bright plumage, ease of breeding and a friendly, unpretentious character. In addition, they live long enough. The average life expectancy of such a bird can reach ten years.

Amadins: care and content

These wonderful birds have maturity when they change the child's plumage to an adult. It is very easy to notice at home, but this is not a sign of full readiness for reproduction. Of course, they are already ready for the appearance of chicks, but in the overwhelming majority of cases, if this process occurred very early, it can lead to the death of the female or her babies.

For the successful appearance of offspring, you should create a pair of birds from one year to four years old, but not older. Ornithologists say that the amadians, whose maintenance and care can allow them to live a long enough life, reluctantly reproduce after overcoming the 5-year old age line. In addition, one should carefully study the physiology of birds and allow only those who are completely healthy and have no defects in the structure of the body, beak or legs to reproduce. Only healthy pets will be able to bring a successful litter.

Amadins, the maintenance and care of which are done correctly, will long please the hosts with their melodic singing and beautiful coloring of feathers. To do this, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Keep in order and clean the cage and inventory;
  • Carry out disinfection at least once a month;
  • Clean watering cans;
  • Flush the cage with hot water;
  • Establish a quarantine cell for planting sick birds.

A nest for amads can either be bought at a pet store or made with your own hands. It must be suspended to the ceiling with wire. It should be located in a place where the bird can hatch eggs without hindrance.

Amadins zebra, whose care and maintenance are fairly simple, can bring offspring all year round, regardless of the season, but it should be remembered that in the winter conditions for reproducing them are much more difficult to create. Birds need a very long light day and a fairly warm room.

It is enough to observe simple rules of hygiene, and the amadins, whose content and care will not cause any special problems, will long delight you and your children with their melodic singing. Their "grunting" is never annoying, and friendliness is able to earn the love of even ardent opponents of domestic animals. However, it should be remembered that it is vital for them to communicate with another living being, that's why these birds usually get in pairs.
