Learning to knit. How to type loops on spokes?

We will not dwell on introductory and introductory information, with which any training should always begin. As, for example, a review of tools, yarns, as well as demonstration of opportunities on already related things. Perhaps starting knitting lessons on knitting needles is always more interesting with practice. And the first such lesson will be: how to dial loops on knitting needles. From what technology you choose, what you are going to associate, what pattern you like for your plan, your choice of a set of loops will depend. After all, the described options are many, and it is very important to get acquainted with them in the future. For the first row of mating is the edge of your product, which will always be clearly visible. Therefore, it is important to consider the question of how to type loops on spokes, with special attention. But meanwhile I propose to learn the basics of knitting with knitting needles.

You can type loops with one or two threads, and the edge of the product - thin, elastic, thickened or fringed, will depend on the chosen method. But for beginners I suggest trying one very simple, and the other - the most common option. So I started and I advise you.

First I suggest a simple set of the first row of knitting for one thread from the so-called "air loops". Initially, in the right hand, take one of the spoke and the end of the thread, and with your left hand, squeeze its continuation with a little finger and ring fingers, leaving a free End on the index. Next, the point of the knitting needle in the right hand should be moved in the direction from the wrist to the fingertips under the thread on the index finger and to reset the formed loop from the left hand. The loop is tightened on the spoke, as shown in Figure 1. Repeating this procedure the required number of times, you gain the required length of your product, for which the very thin tightening edge is best suited. It looks something like this (Figure 2).

The most common, perhaps, will be the second way of how to type loops on spokes for the first row. First, you need to retreat from the end of the thread as long as the width of the intended product is multiplied by two. Next, in the left hand, put a thread on the thumb and forefinger and clamp both ends of the thread in the palm, as shown in Figure 3. In the right hand, now take the two spokes together and draw under the thread on the thumb to the wrist. Turning the spokes clockwise, it is necessary to draw a thread through the loop on the thumb of the index finger, as shown in Figure 4. After having thrown off the loop, do not release the threads clamped in the left hand, but draw the thumb and index fingers between them. Pushing them up and pulling the thread, you thereby tighten the loop on the spokes. It was only a position for the first loop. All the following are typed, not loosening the thread. Lowering the spokes in the right hand closer to the wrist, you will see that a finger forms on the finger, as seen in Fig. 5. Draw the knitting needles from the bottom of the palm to the formed loop, and then draw the thread from the index finger. Now you can reset the threads from your fingers and do the tightening procedure, as described earlier for the first loop. In the same sequence, without releasing the yarn from your hand, you gain as many loops as you need for the width of your product. To ensure that already dialed in the process of dialing are not twisted around the spokes, and your first row remains flat, as in figure 6, hold each new loop on your spoke with your fingers. A few short workouts are short enough, and you will never have difficulty getting a set of the first row, and also none of the subsequent knitting lessons on knitting needles.

And now, stretching from the first row of one spoke, shift the other spoke with the typed loops in the left hand and proceed to work. So, an uncomplicated first row gives the basis for knitting any pattern you like.

There are many more ways and schemes how to dial loops on knitting needles. But they are all more complex and require more skill and skill. But do not worry, after a series of exercises and exercises, you can return to the topic of the first row and master a separate knitting lesson with knitting needles with more complex loops. In the meantime, you need more practice and an unquenchable desire to knit. Good luck!
