"Leader Tower", restaurant "Floor 41"

Leader Tower - this is the name of the building of the first skyscraper in St. Petersburg. This is a 42-storey high-class business center ("A"). All its facades are capable of transmitting various images - this is a novelty to the inhabitants of our country!

The skyscraper is located in the Northern capital on Constitution Square, where there are many office buildings, hotels, bank branches. This place is considered the business center of the metropolis. From here you can easily get to the airport (Pulkovo), the center or leave the city.

In autumn 2015, the restaurant "Floor 41" opened under the roof of the skyscraper "Leader Tower". His discoveries were eagerly awaited for about four months by many Russians. Have these expectations been met?

"Leader Tower": restaurant under the roof

The name "Floor 41", this gastronomic project was not accidental. Occupying the last two floors of the tallest building in St. Petersburg - the "Leader Tower", the restaurant is located at an altitude of about 140 meters. Right from the hall you can climb to the roof, where there is an observation deck. From here opens a magical view of the majestic city, which can not be admired. Nikolay Aleksandrov, Sergei Glazyrin, Natalia Nekrasova - the owners of "Floor 41" - had to work hard to start the restaurant. Staff work has not yet reached the proper level. The menu is also under revision.

Chef in the restaurant ("Leader Tower") was invited to the Spaniard Daniel Negreira, widely known in the world of cooking. The maestro is famous for the virtuoso combination in his dishes of the traditions of European, Asian, Russian cuisines.

A team of experienced designers from the architectural bureau perfectly coped with its task in the "Leader Tower". The restaurant inside is decorated very creative. The masters managed to bring a certain zest to the interior.

The main decoration of the space was a flower pot with flowers everywhere hanging from the ceiling. Some kokedamy soar low enough that guests could touch these strange structures. While all the flowers are artificial, but the management plans to later replace them alive. One of the walls of the institution is completely covered with green moss (also unreal). Those who want to dine on a forest glade should choose one of the tables nearby.
During the day, the restaurant (the "Leader Tower") is full of natural light. The impression is strengthened by the abundance of white in the interior (floor, ceiling, walls, columns, floor lamps) with the addition of gold (legs of tables, chairs, bar , cabinets).

In the corridor there is a refrigeration equipment with products, from which all the food is prepared. Visitors can see almost all the ingredients of the dishes with their own eyes, including bottles of wine.

Another interesting corner is the area around the present fireplace. There are small tables with round-shaped table-tops for private conversations. Sofas separate this place from the rest of the space.

And what about the menu

The concept of the new chief, Igor Kornev, consists in the creative approach and the author's change of the characteristic national dishes of Europe, Asia, Russia. Original feed, novelty, unusual symbiosis of products - that's what distinguishes the kitchen of the institution "Floor 41". Therefore they call it author's.

The main menu includes several sections: snacks, salads, soups, chasper (indoor grill), hot dishes, pasta and risotto, side dishes, desserts. In addition, there is a Pan-Asian (left, seviche, tar-tar, tataqi, sashimi) and bar (wine, vermouth) menu.
Author's dishes in the list are few, other names seem familiar (until you see and try).

A great addition to expensive food is a stunning view of the beautiful city, the sky and sunsets. After all, a panoramic restaurant (the "Leader Tower" contributes to this) has glass walls and a roof (not everywhere). On the perimeter there are tables with comfortable sofas, allowing to receive aesthetic and gastronomic pleasure at the same time.

After the opening of the establishment, many customers were disappointed with the service and food. However, in 2016 the situation has changed: most visitors are admired by both the kitchen and the service.

Interior decoration did not leave anyone indifferent. Everyone managed to find their favorite place in the restaurant. Particularly surprising are the toilet rooms. There are unique shells (metal grids with white cobblestones) and trash buckets (wicker baskets with wooden handles). Snow white, clean, nice!

Desserts, cocktails, coffee, tataki from tuna, author's vinaigrette, set sashimi with onion sauce, cream soup from forest mushrooms, tuna in nori are especially praised from food. Families really liked the playroom for children. The whole wall here is a slate for drawing. There is a TV-panel, toys, children's furniture. And the children are not bored, and parents are calm.
