However, real fame came to Laurel Holloman after her participation in the television series "Sex in another city."

Laurel Holloman: biography

Born actress May 23, 1973 in the small town of Chapel Hill, in North Carolina. Laurel was a younger child in the family, older sisters and brothers took care of her. Laurel grew up and went to school. The girl studied well, all grasped on the fly, and in her spare time she played in school plays. She opened an early artistic gift, everyone was amazed at how figuratively she acted small scenes, parodying relatives and acquaintances.

In 1994, Laurel Holloman moved to New York and took part in the theatrical performance "Heart is a lone hunter." This performance was staged in the theater "New City". Then she was invited to another Broadway theater called "Horizon", where she played paired with Julia Jordan in the play "The Night Swim".

Debut in the cinema

The first breakthrough in the film industry for Laurel Hollowman was the participation in the film "Two Lovers of Love" directed by Maria Magenti, filmed in 1995. In the center of the plot are two girls who are drawn to each other with irresistible force. Novel and funny, and sad, the heroines can not decide about their place in life, but their love blooms in a magnificent color.

The very first series, in which Laurel played, was the film "The Touch of an Angel." She got a small episodic role.

Quite different was the case in the picture under the same name - "Angel", in which Laurel played a gloomy vampire hunter named Justin Cooper, who is determined to avenge the death of her sister.

Starring role

The most famous (as already mentioned) actress brought the role of Tina Kennard in the series The L-Word ("Sex in another city"), where Laurel played a duet with Jennifer Beals. The film tells about the intricate relationships of eight lesbians, each of whom is ready to sacrifice his connection with the outside world for the sake of strengthening relations with his girlfriend. Laurel Holloman and Jennifer Beals played their characters magnificently.

The series was created by American cinematographers in 2004. The team of producers and directors initially feared for the fate of the project, as the plot of the film contained spicy details about the lives of girls of non-traditional sexual orientation. American society is unpredictable when it comes to morality, and so the creators of the series feared a boycott on the part of moviegoers.

And when they decided to take a chance and took off the first series, it became clear that most viewers were quite loyal to what was happening on the screen. Young lesbians fell in love with the general public. It could not be otherwise, because these girls are part of the American society, they are ordinary people who also want something good in life. To love and be loved.

Eight unusual characters

The series became a revelation for those who fight for equality of sexual minorities. In general, the film makes a good impression because of the lack of vulgarity, which is often present in such film projects. Frank scenes are natural and leave a pleasant feeling of belonging to someone's sincere love. A good addition to the series were high-quality soundtracks, which fit organically into the canvas of the script and favorably shade the action. The soundtrack is chosen professionally, the teamwork of the team of cinematographers is felt.

On the screen there are eight girls, each with its own character, secrets and dreams. They are not afraid to talk openly about their feelings, and most importantly, do not hesitate of their nature, and if necessary, they can stand up for themselves. All the characters cause respect, I want to wish them luck in this difficult life.

Personal life

In the early 90's, the actress met Billy Krudipin, a beginning dramatic actor. The novel lasted eight years, the young people parted and again converged, their relationship was like a spontaneous uncontrollable process. In the end, Laurel decided to put an end to, and they parted completely.

In 2003 she was offered Paul Mecheri, an artist and director of short films. On July 13, the young people were married and they had a baby. The couple lived together for nine years, then Laurel filed for divorce. June 18, 2012 the marriage was terminated. More Laurel Holloman, whose personal life today is quite balanced, did not marry.
