"King Lear" - a play about the suffering and moral cleansing of the imperious sovereign

The action of the tragedy "King Lear" takes place in Britain in the 19th century. The imperious sir, feeling that old age is approaching, decides to transfer the throne to three daughters - Cornelia, Gonerilya and Regan. To renounce the throne and divide the kingdom of Lear is not collected in equal parts, but depending on the degree of love for it Each of the sisters. Two daughters, Regan and Gonerilya, hypocritically tell their father how much they love and respect him. The third, Cordelia, the youngest of the sisters, truthfully admits that he treats him as well as his duty dictates.

How did King Lear manage the property? Shakespeare in her work decides the fate of a sincere girl not in her favor. A proud father gives the whole kingdom to his eldest daughters. Cordelia as a dowry, he leaves her honesty and straightforwardness. For himself, Lear lends a guard of one hundred people and expresses a desire to live one by one for each of his daughters one by one. The Earl of Kent, who is close to the sovereign and his friend, tries to warn the king of hasty decisions. He explains to him that the younger daughter loves his father more than he thinks.

One of the suitors who claimed the hand of the girl, the Duke of Burgundy, renounced the homelessness of Cordelia. Another, the king of France, appreciating the dignity of the poor, takes her into wives and takes her to her state. Saying goodbye to their sisters, Cordelia assures her father of their flattery of love.

Having received their share of the inheritance, Regan and Gonerilya are cruelly treated with Lear. Humiliated, they force him to give up even his personal retinue. The king finds his faithful friend Kent, who did not leave him, shackled in pads. Finally, the proud man sees and understands that he has neither the power nor the love of two older daughters.

Thrown by Goneril and Regan to the mercy of fate is King Lear. Shakespeare directs the protagonist of the play to the bare steppe. At this moment a lonely elder understands how unfairly he acted with Cordelia. He realizes that that little love of the youngest daughter is not of the kingdom, but of the whole world.

In the steppe and transformed King Lear - analysis of the tragedy shows how from a powerful and Proud ruler, he turns into a defender of simple vagabonds, who, like himself, suffer from bad weather. So deprived and abandoned, he finds his father Cordelia. She left France and came to her homeland to save him. The older sisters of the girl give the order to grab and imprison her and her father in jail. But King Lear does not fear imprisonment, he is happy that his loving daughter is next to him. Disappointed only by the fact that he later understood and appreciated Cordelia's attitude towards himself.

The last joy of Lear does not justify his expectations. Deprived of communication with his daughter, the unfortunate person learns of her death - Cordelia was hanged. He does not believe this, and even holding it in his hands, he hopes that she is simply unconscious. When the father realizes that his daughter is still dead, he, dying of suffering, dies himself.

Evil rock overtakes and ungrateful daughters Lear - they perish. She was poisoned by Regan, who later stabbed herself.
