Kamistad :: instruction manual

Surely everyone knows a drug such as "Kamistad." The instruction assumes its use not only in adults, but also in children at the moment of teething. That's the first time I ever had to face him when my son's teeth hurt painfully . It was at this time that this drug helped a lot. It is good that he is sweet to the taste, otherwise the child would not be able to rub into the gums. If you are prescribed a "Kamistad", the instruction should be carefully read by you, since it is in the form of "gel" and in the form of "cream." Produced usually in a small tube of 10 grams.

1) Composition. The active ingredient is lidocaine hydrochloride (2.00 grams), chamomile extract (1 to 5), ethanol 50% (with trometamol 1.37%). As auxiliary substances - benzalkonium chloride (in 50% solution), cinnamon camphor oil, sodium saccharinate, formic acid, ethanol, water, carbomer and trometamol.

2) Pharmacology. The drug of combined action "Kamistad", the instruction of which presupposes local application, renders local anesthetic and analgesic, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action.

Lidocaine quickly eliminates pain for a long time (with inflammatory processes of the mouth, mucous membrane, lips and gums).

Extract of camomile flowers has a healing, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect on the affected areas.

The form of the drug is a gel, which can easily be distributed over the mucous membrane of "Kamistad". The instruction contains all the necessary information.

3) Application and indications. The use of the drug is appropriate in the following cases, accompanied by pain:

- inflammation of the mouth, lips and gums (it can be stomatitis, gingivitis);

- eruption of milk teeth in children and wisdom teeth in adults, these processes are usually accompanied by aching pain;

- irritation of gums from prostheses, braces and plates;

- Postoperative period of maxillofacial surgery;

- during dental procedures.

4) Dose and method of administration. Children up to 2 years of age "Kamistad" are applied no more than 3 times a day, 0.5 cm each.

Adults and children older than two years are streaked 0.5 cm - 3 times a day. After application, the gel is rubbed with massaging finger movements.

5) Side effect. The drug may cause allergic reactions (rash and other forms of allergy). If signs are found, discontinue use and seek medical advice.

6) Contraindications for the use of "Kamistad" gel (the instruction should contain this information).

- kidney failure;

- arterial hypertension;

Bradycardia;

- liver failure;

- heart failure;

- hypersensitivity to some components of the drug;

- Pregnancy;

- age up to 3 months.

7) Lactation and pregnancy. The use of the drug is contraindicated for women breastfeeding, as well as pregnant.

8) In case of an overdose, nausea (sometimes vomiting) may occur, skin pale, panting, apnea. In this case, the drug is canceled and symptomatic therapy is prescribed.

9) Interaction with other medicinal products. Not studied and previously not described.

10) Special instructions. The drug is used until all the symptoms disappear.

11) In pharmacies is released freely, without a doctor's prescription.

12) Shelf life and storage. "Kamistad" should be stored in places inaccessible to children, at a temperature of no higher than 25 ° C. It is suitable for 3 years from the date of manufacture.

13) Description. Semi-transparent gel of yellowish color. Sweet to the taste.

It should be noted that the drug is produced not only in the form of a gel, but also there is an ointment "Kamistad".
