Interesting pattern of "braids" with knitting needles: a scheme, description, application

What can better decorate a sweater, as not all beloved arans (they are the same plaits and braids)? In this article knitters are offered an extremely beautiful and quite wide pattern of "braids" with knitting needles. The scheme is simple and will be understood by experienced craftsmen, they can start work without any additional instructions. For all others, a description is attached. It includes recommendations for knitting both the pattern itself and the individual details of the sweater.

Why is the simplest ornament - a pattern of "braids" with spokes? Schema and other arguments

Looking at the intricate interweaving of knitted harnesses, many are amazed at how you can sit down and make such beauty! However, those knitters who mastered the principle of creating aranes, easily braid the braids, nets, knots and lattices of the most different number of braces.

To describe the algorithm for forming the ornament, we suggest to consider the elementary pattern of the "braid" with spokes (scheme A.1 and A.3, the sections marked with the letter b).

Here are depicted tows of two braces, this is the minimum number. Each of them contains four loops. After all eight loops are sewn with the facial (face series), the work is turned and knitted according to the pattern (purl series), making one more such row. Then the first strand (4 loops) is removed from the left knitting needle and left in front of the face of the fabric (before work), and the second (4 loops) is tied with the front. The removed loops can be simply pressed with a finger or left in a free "hover", some masters suggest carrying them to the auxiliary spoke. After the second strand is tied, the loops are first returned to the left knitting needle and knit by the facial. There was a crossing of the loops to the left. This is the basic principle. All you need to know is the execution of the front and back loops!

Next, you need to tie another five face and five purl rows and again perform a cross. Obtained a pattern of "braids" with spokes (the diagram perfectly illustrates the algorithm).

Mirror Crossing

Considering the scheme A.3, you can see that the braids are directed to the right. This is done in the same way as described in the previous paragraph, but the removed loops of the first strand are left not before, but at work.

Beginners should be trained and learn how to perform these two techniques, because usually the knitting of braids and braids with spokes is built on their combination.

We complicate the task

The figure below shows the pattern of the sweater. This product consists of four parts: two sleeves, a gear and a backrest. All of them, except for the back, are decorated with strings.

Spit often located in the center of the canvas, the bottom of the parts carry an elastic band. Based on the characteristics of this pattern, it is rational to apply a non-uniform elastic band to remove strands of braids from the formed columns.

These braids with spokes (with a description of the scheme will become more understandable) are suitable for knitting female, male or children's sweaters. In addition, this universal pattern can easily be used to decorate bags, pillows, blankets and other items.

Legend: a cross is a purl loop, an empty cage is a front one. Inclined lines indicate the number of crossed loops and their direction.

The peculiarity of the scheme of knitting of braids from four locks

Figure A.2 depicts arans of four locks. This ornament is placed in the center of the part of the gear, on the right side of it you should place braid A.3, and on the left side - braid A.1.

The other hinges to the right and left of the ornament are knitted with facial.

The fragments marked with the letter a represent the knitting of the gum, and those that are signed with the letter b refer directly to the bundles.

An important feature of this ornament is that a continuous inclined line designates the crossing of two strands (four loops each) between themselves. At the same time, the inclined broken line shows that it is necessary to cross one of the strands (from four loops) with one purl loop of the background. Thus rhombuses of a pattern are formed.

Sweater with knitting needles: sleeves

Figure A.4 shows a diagram for knitting the sleeves of a product. In the center, you should place the main pattern, and the other loops to perform the purl. The peculiarity of the ornament is that it contains only one diamond. It is placed below, immediately after the cuff of the rubber band. Further, the strands of the braids, which are brought together in one column, cross each other. The interval between crossings can be chosen at your discretion or guided by the scheme A.1. Here the interval is 14 rows (seven facial and the same purl).

When all the details of the sweater are ready, they are steamed by means of an iron (or washed and dried), and then stitched.

In the last turn knit the throat. To do this, you can make the part separately and then sew to the rollout, or you can loop along the edge of the canvas to the circular knitting needles and knit around. The usual height of the neck is about 18 cm. Do not make it too tight, as this will cause discomfort in the toe. However, an excessively weak neck is also undesirable. Optimum is the average density of knitting.
