Increased temperature without symptoms

In medical practice, there is often a situation where there is an increase in temperature without symptoms. This indicates the development of an infection that may be of a viral or bacterial nature. If the latter is characterized by the development of completely specific signs, the presence of the virus in the body may not be manifested.

Asymptomatic fever is considered a true sign of the spread of the virus. Depending on the nature of the course of a disease, they can be conditionally divided into slow, chronic and latent. The chronic form of manifestation is considered only a relapse, as a rule, with the defeat of the internal organ or central nervous system. Latent virus infection can be in the body for a long time without developing or manifesting. But the slow form, unlike the latent one, develops, the incubation period of such a disease is long and can reach several years.

The period of the incubation period depends on the mode of infection, the generalized or focal form is isolated. For example, with a focal form, the virus immediately reaches the cells, which can be influenced, and does not enter the blood. This infection is characterized by rapid development and, consequently, a short incubation period. Most acute respiratory viral infections occur precisely this way. The generalized form presupposes the development in the primary focus and the subsequent transition to the blood, which means a longer period of development.

If there was an increase in temperature without symptoms, then you need to know a clear algorithm of actions and stick to it. First of all, it is necessary to provide the patient with bed rest and premise beforehand. In this period, it is very important to drink plenty of food and nutrition. In this state, a person does not want to eat anything , so the task of close people is to ensure that the patient eats several times a day.

Of course, you should call a doctor, as only qualified personnel will be able to give clear instructions and recommendations, and if necessary, and hospitalize the patient. Elevated fever without symptoms exceeding 38.5 degrees Celsius requires active action. If the doctor has to wait for a long time, the person can be given an antipyretic agent, for example, paracetamol. To relieve the condition, you can make a cold compress on the forehead.

And remember that increasing the temperature without symptoms is temporary, because any disease sooner or later is manifested by a whole range of other symptoms, on the basis of which it is much easier to make an accurate diagnosis. But if they are still absent and the patient's condition does not improve, then most likely, hospitalization will be needed to identify the reasons for this state of affairs. It is believed that if all the recommendations of the doctor are followed, the patient should feel better already on the fourth day. And if the temperature increase without symptoms is observed on the seventh day of poor health, then there is nothing to wait, do not delay with a visit to the doctor and hand over all possible tests. A full examination in this case is a must.

In order to help the body cope with the infection, you can resort to some methods of traditional medicine. Well-established cranberry juice, since it is a storehouse of vitamins and beneficial microelements. As a warm drink, you can use herbal teas. The best herbs are chamomile, dog rose or sage. In such a drink you can add a spoon of honey or raspberry jam. As a treat it is better to offer the patient citrus fruits, because they contain high content of vitamin C.
