The drug "Galvus Met" instruction describes as a combined oral medication, belonging to the pharmacological group of hypoglycemic medications. The instruction does not recommend taking them to patients who have an increased activity of hepatic enzymes. Among other things, this hypoglycemic drug is never prescribed for patients with lactase deficiency, myocardial infarction or intolerance to galactose. The list of strict contraindications includes such conditions as renal failure, chronic or acute forms of heart failure, respiratory failure, chronic alcoholism, metabolic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis, cardiovascular insufficiency and pregnancy. Do not prescribe this drug and during lactation. In addition, this drug is never taken two days before surgery, X-ray and radioisotope medical research, accompanied by the introduction of contrast agents.
