How to transfer money to Ukraine quickly and with minimal losses

Long ago, when in order to transfer money from one city to another (or even to a neighboring country), one had to wait for an opportunity in the form of a second cousin of his grandfather's nephew, or to negotiate with the conductor or the bus driver, hoping solely for the honesty and decency of the latter . And how to transfer money to Ukraine today? There are many reliable and safe ways, which we will discuss below.

Postal transfer

One of the oldest and most proven ways to send money to Ukraine is a regular postal order. To do this, you need to have a passport, the money itself and to know the contact information of the recipient (his surname, first name, patronymic and full home address). If you have problems with the address - you can make a call transfer, however, you will have to find out at least the post office index for this.

In other countries, the postal order will come in exactly the same way as in Ukraine. You can send money using the services of the "Post of Russia", through the nearest branch. Negative aspects of this method are a rather high commission (about 8%) and a low transfer rate (more than two weeks).

Transfer to the current account

If you have a settlement account with a bank, then the question of how to transfer money to Ukraine is solved quite easily. You can do this by bank transfer to the beneficiary's account, of course, provided that you know it. It is very important that the sender and the recipient have accounts opened in the same currency.

Very convenient in this case is the payment system SWIFT, which allows you to send the transfer though not very fast (up to five banking days), but quite inexpensively. The peculiarity of this system is that the commission for services is collected from both the sender (1-5%) and the recipient (0.5-2%). Also have to pay a commission of the transit bank (1-5%) in the case when the money is sent from the financial institution, in which there is no correspondent account of the bank of Ukraine. However, here you can cheat a little: in order not to pay a commission when withdrawing money, you need to open a deposit "on demand", which allows you to withdraw funds at any time, and transfer it to there, rather than to your current account.

By the way, in order to decide the question of how to transfer money to Ukraine, having a settlement account, you can not leave the house at all. Use the Internet banking system for this. Today, every self-respecting bank provides this service, such as 24-hour access to accounts and transactions with them, and the payment details of the beneficiary's bank (except for a settlement account, of course) can be easily found on its official website.

Forwarding without opening an account

And how to transfer money to Ukraine, if you do not have a settlement account with a Russian bank, and you do not intend to open it? You can use international money transfer systems, such as:

  • Western Union - the commission will be 3%, if the transfer is urgent, and 0,5%, when you take your time.
  • MoneyGram - will take an additional 2.5% with a minimum commission of 2.5 €.
  • Anelik - will take from you 2% of the transfer amount.
  • Contact - will also offer to pay an additional 2%.
  • Unistream - will ask for a little less (from 1 to 1.5%).
  • "The Golden Crown" - the commission here is even smaller (from 0.5 to 1%).

It is worth, however, take into account that the higher the transfer amount, the lower and loyal tariff will be offered to you.

Transfer through the terminal

Some money transfer systems have a partnership with the QIWI terminal network. To carry out transfers from Russia to Ukraine through such "poles" can almost instantly, in addition, money can also be sent to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, etc.

For example, a money transfer by PrivatMoney through QIWI-purse to other CIS countries is carried out as quickly as to Ukraine. To send money in this way is very simple, you just need to have a settlement account in Privatbank, know the name of the recipient, the country of his stay. To send money, you need to select the section "Money transfers" in any QIWI terminal, then PrivatMoney and fill out a special form. After that, the sender will receive an SMS indicating the code to be sent to the recipient. If you fill out the form of the mobile phone number of the recipient, he will also receive an SMS-notification that the money has arrived. From Russia, money will be sent in rubles, and US dollars will be delivered to Ukraine. Delivery is almost instantaneous, and the commission will be about 2%.

Virtual Wallet
