How to save electricity at home correctly

Every day the problem of energy saving becomes more acute, because it is connected both with environmental nuances and with financial ones. A couple of decades ago, energy resources were quite cheap and no one thought about how to save electricity at home. But now every year electricity bills are becoming more impressive, which forces us to take drastic measures. There are many ways to save electricity at home, they are completely dependent on living conditions and the availability of electrical appliances.

Kitchen

The kitchen is one of the main places for using electricity, as now many of them have not only electric kettles, but also electric stoves, not including microwave ovens, kitchen combines, refrigerators, toasters, and sometimes washing machines. In order to deal with this, you need to follow simple rules of economy. First of all, the frying pan or pan should exactly match the size of the burner, in addition, it should be covered with a lid - this will greatly speed up the cooking process.

If the products are finely chopped, they are always prepared faster. A good helper that will help you figure out how to save electricity at home is a steamer, thanks to which you can cook several dishes at once. The kettle must be cleaned of scale regularly, and not occasionally. Saving electricity in the kitchen is also achieved with the help of many other modern appliances - fryers, pressure cookers, toasters, multivarks that are safer to use and do not need much energy. Buying a new plate, it is worth considering the inductive option, since such devices are easier to operate, and the electricity consumption while doing this is less. To heat food, it is better to use microwave ovens, which can warm up the dish in a couple of minutes, whereas a conventional cooker can not even heat up during this time.

Lighting

Of course, all the ways to save electricity involves the proper organization of lighting. For operation inside the house, it is recommended to use energy-saving light bulbs, the main disadvantage of which is the high price, although the term of their work is so long that such light sources have time to pay off in full. Leaving the room, you need to turn off the light, even if the room is left for a couple of minutes. If this advice is constantly forgotten, then it is worth investing in traffic sensors (which are also effective in the entrances), which include light only when there are signs of activity in the room. On the TV and computer it is desirable to use the function of delayed shutdown for prolonged non-use.

Heat supply

If an autonomous heat supply system is installed in the dwelling, in order to understand how to save electricity at home, it is necessary to find out exactly how it works and who manages it. The system "warm floor" is recognized as very economical, because it is the feet that freeze the person in the first place. Heat under your feet makes you think that the air around is also warm and, accordingly, reduce its room temperature using a thermostat. It is also advisable not to use hot water from urban water supply systems, but to heat it yourself in an electric boiler, which will turn out to be much cheaper. Even a cold winter should not be stoked all night long - after all under the blanket is warm, and electricity will be wasted.

Devices

To help understand how to save electricity at home, can and the usual instructions for electrical appliances. Usually, the most optimal mode of operation of equipment is indicated there, but it is worth remembering that even in the store you need to choose equipment only of the "A" series, which indicates the highest degree of energy efficiency. Of course, this technique is more expensive, but then you do not have to overpay.
