How to remove the fill in the "Word" of different modifications

Pouring text, which is a color background, is a popular design tool, which, according to the frequency of use, is one of the first places. But when, on the basis of a document or a template containing such a design, one has to create one, many begin to wonder how to remove the fill from the text in the Word to make it look "clean." There are several main ways for this.

How to remove the fill from the text in the "Word" by the simplest method

The editor itself contains many tools that allow you to create or remove the background color of the text or the entire document. Most commands are duplicated in different menus. However, the most necessary functions are displayed on the main toolbar in the form of buttons.

There is also a fill button marked with a pencil, a brush or a bucket (depending on the version of the editor) with Latin symbols "ab" or without them. The general principle of solving the problem of how to remove a fill in the Word is to select the desired text or a line, and then click the button from the drop-down menu to choose either the desired color or specify the option "No fill". But this only applies to the selected text. Similarly, you can simply remove the background of the pages.

How to remove the fill in the "Word" from the context menu

As already mentioned, many functions are duplicated, so you can get rid of the background using the appropriate command in the menu, which is caused by the right click on the selected line.

I must say that both the first and second methods are equally good for both plain text and tabular data, only in the second case are the cells selected.

The Word 2003

There are also users who work with the version of the 2003 release, considering it the most convenient. Here, the toolkit that allows you to solve the problem of how to remove the fill in the "Word" is somewhat different from the later versions of the program.

For example, to remove the entire document fill, select all the text (Edit / Select All or Ctrl + A), and then go to the Format tab and use the Borders and Fills section. On the corresponding tab, the option of its absence is selected and the button "OK" confirms the change.

The Word 2007

Now let's see how to remove the fill in the Word 2007, using the same example. Select all the text and go to the page layout menu. Here we first use the page background section, and then - the page boundary section (access can be obtained by clicking on the fill button).

After the done actions we again get to the window of borders and fillings, which was described above.

Vord 2010

If you look at the question of how to remove the fill in Word 2010, you can apply the methodology of the 2007 version of the program. The only difference is that the last two menu items are interchanged.

Vord 2016

In the newest version of the text editor the question of how to remove the fill in the "Word" is solved even easier. To get rid of the fill, go to the design menu in the main panel.

On the right you will see two or three buttons "Substrate", "Page color" and "Page borders". We are interested in two. With their help, you can change almost all parameters related to text fills, whole pages of substrates like watermarks of filling methods, color selection, etc. Actually, all these settings can be configured in any version of the program, just the tools are located in different menus.

By the way, in this version of the program, when you select a fragment or the entire text, a prompt appears in the form of a pop-up panel, which contains the buttons for the main operations. So you can choose the right option from here.

Deleting a fill with a cardinal method for all versions of a text editor

Finally, consider another technique that allows you to get rid of the fill in the case when the user has to work with a third-party document or some template in which such a design element (selection) is present.

In an open document or when copying text, select everything completely, as shown above, and on the main panel we find the button for deleting the formatting (for example, in the version of the editor of 2016, it is indicated by the letter "A" and an eraser). After applying this operation, you will remove the formatting, including - and the fill, which was contained in the document.

Instead of an afterword

As you can see, changing or deleting a fill in different versions of the editor is done almost the same way, but only the tools are located in different categories, and the names of the menus differ. In some cases, you will have to dig into the settings to access them.

But the simplest method is still the use of a special button and a menu of borders. If you want, so that you do not call additional menus each time, you can display the buttons of the corresponding commands directly to the main panel. Again, focusing on this does not make sense, since dragging the buttons and menus in which this function is located differs depending on the application's modification.
