How to destroy pests parasitizing clematis?

Clematis diseases are often associated with pest attacks. Plants can be affected by nematodes, aphids, spider mite, mealybug, slugs, snails, various caterpillars, scutes and fleas.

Pests such as slugs and snails are regularly collected. Or lay baits - cabbage leaves, potato halves, damp cloth, and then destroy. You need to do this throughout the summer. To combat the mealybug, "Carbophos" is used.

Getting rid of the nematode is much more difficult. For the treatment of plants use special chemicals (nematicides). Some varieties, for example, clematis "Multi Blue" forms a powerful root system, in which a root nematode likes to be. To completely destroy the colony of nematodes, complete removal of roots with contaminated soil is required.

It is noticed, if near the clematis planting marigolds, watercress, parsley or fragrant dill, it is possible to reduce the risk of infection by nematodes and many other parasites.
