How to make a table in the "Word"? A simple question, a simple answer

The text editor from Microsoft has become so familiar to the Russian user that the very name "Vord" is now almost naming character. In offices, student libraries, home computers, a standard Office suite is mandatory. But formatting still causes difficulties for some users, as well as some other functions. And the questions, for example, about how to make a table in the "Word", are still as relevant.

Start

Naturally, you need to run the program itself. Someone else can have an office in 2003. This article will talk about how to create a table in the "Vorda" version of 2010. The interface of 2003 is very different from the later versions of the program. They are intuitive, there is no need to search for one or another function: opening each tab, the user sees almost all of its possibilities almost immediately.

So, after running the program on the monitor window, an empty sheet will be displayed. Now the user needs to go to the "Insert" tab. The upper command line displays the icons of objects that can be placed on the sheet. Among them there are tables.

Insert

If you hover your mouse over the icon with the name "Table", then the drop-down box will be displayed. From it you can choose several options for building. Automatically, the "Word" displays the table in ten columns and eight rows. Reduce this amount is possible, but it will have to increase from the sheet.

To answer the question of how to make a table in the Word, it was more visual, we'll build it, for example, into five columns and three lines.

In order to increase the number of rows, you must click the left mouse button in any cell, then click the right one. In the drop-down menu, select the desired command. The Vord offers several of them:

  • Add rows from the bottom;
  • Add lines from the top;
  • Add a column to the left;
  • Add a column to the right.

Creating a Header

The table presented above has a rather simplified form. To enter data, you often have to merge cells. Consider how to make a table in the "Word" with a "cap". To do this, the user must again select the number of columns and rows. Initially, their number may differ from the required one. How to add a row or column, we already know.

For example, create a simple table. She will have six columns and seven rows.

The cap should eventually merge the top pair in pairs so that the number of remaining cells remains the same. To do this, select the first two columns in the top row. Then click the right mouse button and select the "Merge" command. The result is the following table:

Similarly, we pair the remaining columns in pairs. As a result, the table will look like this:

Tools "Eraser" and "Draw a table"

There is one more way to set the "cap". Each face can be deleted with the eraser. If you click on any cell, an additional tab "Working with tables" appears above the command line. If you navigate through it, you will have the opportunity to use the Eraser tool. Its icon is located in the upper right corner.

Clicking on the Eraser tool turns the mouse pointer into an image of a conventional drawing rubber. Bringing it to any face, with a single click of the mouse, the user can easily delete any line.

Also, there should not be any difficulty in answering the question of how to make a table in the Word using the Draw Chart tool. This function can be used from the initial window in the "Insert" tab. Having selected a line with the name "draw a table", the user sees a pencil instead of the mouse pointer. If you bring it to the sheet, a rectangular figure is displayed, indicated by a dashed line. Pulling the pencil to the desired size, the user thus draws the first line. Then you can continue to draw the table or use the already familiar way of adding and dividing cells, rows, columns.
